Toby was going to do a boxset of their discography with remasters, bonus tracks, and a re-recording of My Fruit Psychobells... A Seed Combustible although Dark Symphonies records own the rights to their first 3 albums and won't let them do it.

It's only just been announced on Kayo Dot's homepage, and on that site they seem to list any album not yet available for order as 'Sold Out', so I don't think so. It's not listed for sale on KayoDot.net yet, and it's meant to go on sale their the same time as on there homepage.

Don't care that much about the format of the release. I'm more than happy with my digital Part the Second. On the other hand, I would really want a re-recorded My Fruit Psychobells... badly!

Hey guys, the pre-order for Part the Second 2xLP is now live!  I came over here to start a thread about it, only to find you guys beat me to it!  This is going to be a really beautiful release.  The art is awesome, the vinyl colors will look great with the colors in the cover art, and the test pressings sound amazing!  I may have a few test pressings available in the store in the coming weeks as well.

Me too, man that's an expensive piece of artwork LOL The album is 18 dollars and shipping is 17, and I don't have a functioning LP player. But when I finally get one, this is the version I'll listen to Thumbs Up

Yeah, shipping was 15$ to Australia, I forgot to think about shipping before I ordered it Thankfully we're still doing super well against the USD so it wasn't too bad. Can't wait for this one

I know the international shipping is a killer, but since it's a double 180g LP in a gatefold, it weighs quite a bit.  Thanks for all your support guys!  You won't be disappointed, this album sounds amazing on vinyl.Thumbs Up

Any update on the release date beyond "the end of September"?
I'm looking forward to this... Glad Kayo Dot is also releasing Coyote on vinyl, though I've already got the CD.

I'm still hoping to have everything in my hands by the end of the month, but there have been a couple delays.  Toby is making some adjustments to the jacket artwork, and the labels that were printed need to be remade, so that is all being sorted out right now. As soon as the labels are fixed, the records will be pressed.  As soon as Toby finishes the art edits, the jackets will be printed.

Bump with some (now oldish) news:

**9.25.10 UPDATE**
The labels for the records had to be reprinted as the first batch were actually stickers, not proper labels for pressing onto records. Bad news is that the pressing has been slightly delayed. Good news is that everyone who orders is getting a free set of 4 stickers, which feature the artwork for sides A, B, C and D of the vinyl!

Not sure, unfortunately. I haven't ever heard about/seen any motW merch. I definitely want one, though.

As a fan of post metal I must say that this band is very unique.I have listened to some tracks and they are incredible. It's great that Antithetic records will release Part the second in vinyl.Thumbs Upfor Maudlin of the well. But I would like to have more death metal vocals.

Have you heard their three earlier releases? There's plenty of metal and harsh vocals on those three

There's an interview where Toby talks about the more softer, mellow sound on Part The Second over here: http://www.lurkerspath.com/2010/10/28/an-interview-with-toby-driver/ - http://www.lurkerspath.com/2010/10/28/an-interview-with-toby-driver/

Mine arrived as well Thumbs Up It's really a gorgeous package, though I was surprised of how light the light blue actually is, and there were a couple of dark grey accidental looking stains. And it took some time trying to figure out which side had which song(s) Tongue

But hell, thank you Clap Now we'll just have to wait for me to have money to finally buy the turntable...

Ordered a shirt and Stained Glass, thanks for the info Joel!

Yeah, I had posted my comments regarding the drastic variations in the vinyl color on our blog.  Some were very light, some were very colorful.  If it had enough blue to be considered "White /w Light Blue Swirl", it went in the blue pile.  Otherwise, we're going to sell the ones that are essentially white with some grey marble/swirls/splatters and possibly even one very small spot of color, but we're calling them "street snow".  They reminded us of how snow on the side of the road can be perfectly white, or sometimes it gets a little dirty with slush, maybe a homeless pissed in a spot a couple days ago and you can kind of see the yellow...  You get the idea.  I wouldn't sell them as colored, but they're still awesome 180gram vinyl copies of a fantastic album, and they come in the same great packaging w/ the insert as well.

I'm glad you guys are liking our first release.  There's been some talk of doing the other motW albums as well.  I'll keep you posted when there are more details.

Also, regarding the side labels, they correspond to the artwork on the Part the Second website if you listen to it online.  Each song has its own art.  Since there are 5 songs (side B has songs 2 and 3), we used the art for Rose Quartz on the vinyl, and did the Keep Light Near You art as the insert since it was square already.  The inner gatefold is the art for Clover Garland Island (which also appears, though heavily cropped, on side C).  I chose not to include the "A" "B" "C" and "D" on the labels because I like looking at the art instead.  Plus, you can look at the matrix on the inner ring and see it stamped there "ANTI-001 A", etc.

Awesome You have another sale for any other motW vinyls ever over here.
One minor complaint I have: There's a typo I just noticed on the lyric sheet, in the first line of Laboratories Of The Invisible World:
An electric curent binds us together forever
As current seems to be spelt with only one R on the sheet.
Other than that, perfect work

Ah! Got it!

B E A U T I F U L  (The sound quality / music and art packaging, that is)

I admittedly thought I received a faulty copy, or that the vinyl was done with alternative versions... I was playing it on 33, and apparently it ought to be played on 45. Strange are these times.

But thank you very much for this, and I hope the other releases are done on vinyl (and CD again!) like this!
