Well, his music is very progressive, and Bitches Brew is a jazz-rock/fusion album.

No, he is not. Miles Davies had just one fusion phase. He played many styles.. jazz to pop. So I agreed he is not in progarchives.

Miles Davis is a Jazz icon, a real institution, an alumni of Jazz. Even if he had made a Prog Rock album or song, he would still be a Jazz artist.

Yeah , this debate went on last year around three times. Although I would support from the IN A Silent Way album onto the end of the 70's in the Archives, the vast majority feels otherwise! And the admins have not picked up on the idea either!

Gotta draw the line somewhere I suppose, this is why Weather Report is out but Mahavishnu and R To Forever are in.... And Santana is not in either although his 70's albums would definitely be worth the inclusion.

keep our sand-castle virtues
content to be a doer
as well as a thinker,
prefer lifting our pen
rather than un-sheath our sword
