I'd like to introduce "1912".
This is a group of veteran musicians from the Birmingham area, playing progressive rock, or maybe "intelligent pop".
We have no label or recording contract so far. We are slowly building our set list of original material, with a view to releasing our debut album early next year.
Please visit http://www.nineteentwelve.com - www.nineteentwelve.com or http://www.myspace.com/1912uk - www.myspace.com/1912uk to find out more.
Nationality: British

Actually, I hope to demostrate that we do have real Prog credentials. Unfortunately, our more recent and ambitious recordings are so far not up on the web site, as we hope to release an album soon (8 tracks now recorded - just need mastering). I'll confer with the rest of the band to find out how we can best bring a taster of our more Progressive material to the world at large.

1912's next gig will be at The Roadhouse, Stirchley, Birmingham, England, on 27th April 2011.
We will be headlining, supported by London-based Prog band Carilloz, and one other act (to be confirmed).
Not sure how much it costs to get in yet, but I don't think it will be much!

Omenopus's compilation "Allies & Clansmen" is officially released on 4th April. I got my copy last night. It's damn good!
1912 contributes "Please Take Me Away From Here", which is also on our forthcoming EP "Tides".

Some big 1912 news: our debut album "Waiting For No One" is to be released in October. We're finalising the agreement for its distribution right now. It will be on Lee Potts' Montty Maggot records (the home of Omenopus and the Allies & Clansmen compiliations).
The album will be available from major vendors such as iTunes and Amazon, but your best bet is to go along to www.omenopus.com, where Lee will have an exclusive deal for subscribers to his mailing list.

For more information (updated as events unfold), visit www.nineteentwelve.com.

John.

The deal was signed on Friday, so we're now having our 1st album made and distributed by Monty Maggot records. The CD is being pressed right now. As soon as the CDs are available, I'll post it here. . .

Does this mean I need to stop posting here, and start posting on the "unsigned bands who made it. . ." forum?

Next gig: 23rd October 2011, at The Roadhouse, Stirchley, Birmingham (supporting "The Tantrics"). Just £3 on the door to see four bands!

Back on the forum after a break of (ahem!) several years. . .
I'm just checking out what we need to do to get 1912 added to the Band List.
