When I do a search after "Dan Berglund's Tonbruket" (which has a band entry exactly like that), I think the search engine doesn't understand the ' sign, because this is what it shows:

http://adserver.adtechus.com/adlink/3.0/5110/1294395/0/154/ADTECH;loc=300;key=key1+key2+key3+key4;grp=%5bgroup%5d">

Dan Berglund''s Tonbruket discography search results

From Progarchives.com, the ultimate progressive rock music website

And bellow it doesn't find the band page, just two threads from the forum.

If I search for "Dan Berglund''s Tonbruket" (with two ' ) it does find me the band page, but the ' sign looks really weird:

Dan Berglund''''s Tonbruket discography search results

From Progarchives.com, the ultimate progressive rock music website

../artist.asp?id=5351 - DAN BERGLUND“S TONBRUKET music, discography, MP3, videos and reviews DAN BERGLUND“S TONBRUKET is a Jazz Rock/Fusion / Progressive Rock artist from Sweden. This page includes DAN BERGLUND“S TONBRUKET's : biography, ...
www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=5351

Really weird. Wacko I wouldn't have thought that a tiny sign like ' can create such trouble. LOL

1 - I just tried it and found 3 results, no errors, but it did show the band name with a double apostrophe.

2 - did the same with Pavlov's Dog - it says: Pavlov''s Dog discography search results, with the double apostrophe, but it found 10+pages of hits though.

3 - I've just tried the search using google.co.uk (site:www.progarchives.com) and it puts the double apostrophe in too, therefore it must be a Google bug.

Z - why are you using all those words and punctuation to search? surely "Berglund" and/or "Tonbrucket" is unique enough to find what you're looking for.

I didn't type all that band name, I just copied it from somewhere else. When I type, I only type a keyword, indeed. Tongue

There's a point where "avant-garde" and "experimental" becomes "terrible" and "pointless,"

the "Search" function generally does not seem to work properly. you may get a lot of results, but once you click on a post to open it you get a message like this:

Server Error in Forum Application
WARNING: SQL Injection attack detected.
Please contact the forum administrator.

Support Error Code:- err_SQLServer_SqlInjectionTest()
File Name:- functions_common.asp

Error details:-

this appears to be so only for search of more recent posts.  looking for a quite old one (more than half a yedar ago) worked fine

Thanks Jean, that certainly generates a repeatable error - I'll pass it on to M@X

The error is created by the word "key" - search for "board" and it doesn't fail - very strange.

Search does not work properly.
Try, for example, find "Reviews discussion" thread.

Fixed

The use of the word : key  was blocked, but I removed that filter for now.

Thanks for reporting

What time frame did you use? Try 'Any date'... reviews discussion is a quite old thread and the search looks for topics.

The same error is in case of search for Topics.
