Incredible album, so it's really hard to choose.

1. Rudy
2. School
3. Bloody Well Right
4. Hide in your Shell
5. Crime of the Century
6. Asylum
7. If Everyone Was Listening
8. Dreamer

All great, classic tracks though.

Rudy, then School, then Asylum

let's just stay above the moral melee
prefer the sink to the gutter
keep our sand-castle virtues
content to be a doer
as well as a thinker,
prefer lifting our pen
rather than un-sheath our sword

I know a lot of you love this album but i simply don't get it. Not yet at least.

Dreamer would be my choice i suppose.

Try to listen to it more frequently... many times... Sometimes I listen to an album for some times and just dislike them, but after some time I get into them ! Smile

Rudy gets my vote!  It's pretty awesome, if I do say so myself.

I think Asylum is one of the finest pieces of music ever written.

Rudy, one of the tops from Supertramp IMO.

Rudy, but could have easily gone with School too. Several other excellent tracks here!

Every song is a mini masterpiece... Can't believe Asylum hasn't gotten more votes, though. I'd pick that.

Nothing to say here. Nothing at all. Nothing is easy.

I can't believe how much I love love love this album. Seven 5-star songs! Immaculate, clean and warm production. Tight rhythm section, great keyboards, flurries of sax, and the odd bit of playful guitar. Both vocalists perfect. A masterful composition in Rudy, brilliant melodies in Dreamer and Hide in your Shell, great key solos in School, Bloody Well Right and the title track. Asylum is one of the most heart-wrenchingly emotional pieces of music set to tape, yet not a cliche in sight. The concept; it's not quite clear, but we know there is one, I love the mystery, the way the meaning can change for different people. The band actually get on as well. It shows. Masterpiece.

It's the worst on the album, but still a 4-star song, and better than most AOR bands' entire careers!

And it's essential to the album's concept, so I'm perfectly happy with it being in there.
