"Horn then briefly fronted progressive rock band Yes, though he received dire reviews as its bassist and lead singer."

Agreed, though obviously the BBC haven't read the reviews of Drama on PA.

he's a good producer--his biggest challenge will come this new year when he has to reinvent Yes again and make them prog acceptable without JA and RW---(-I liked Drama --not as much as some on this site---but really not a big fan of Machine M, which I thought rather cheesy)---

^ Not sure how he expects success at that, still with his input it will be well worth a listen. As you say his excellent production work elsewhere demonstrates to me anyway that he has zip to prove to anyone, least possibly Yes fronted by Benoit David. Check out his production of some of Seal's work.

Oh, I agree---I was sorta talking tongue in cheek as I don't think even a great producer will save Yes for me this time---as a crazy Yes fan---it is hard for me to think this may well be the end--but it will be worth a listen. I wasn't very moved by the live version of the band---both the singer or the keyboardist were very 3rd rate----but we'll see.
(BTW--I do have several Seal CD's)

If he's responsible for Yes' style in the 80s, then he surely deserves some recognition (though probably not on PA). I'm a big fan of Big Generator.

He was also responsible for the Art Of Noise project. On the other hand, he was also responsible for ABC and Frankie Goes To Hollywood (not my cup of tea)...

When they start awarding these things to common people who volunteer in soup kitchens, etc, instead of celebrities that result in continuing funding from taxes from such soup kitichen workers, then I will take them seriously
