I am in love with Carla Kihlstedt.
She is a talented musician/composer and also quite grrrrr.....  (and i mean that in the most positive way possible).

And this sounds like a great record, I'll get it as well, thanks for posting.

Indeed. You can hear echoes of lots of his older solo/skeleton crew stuff on that live recording, but it's still being pushed into new, though perhaps not revolutionary, territory. I can't wait to wrap my ears round it!

Frith is one of those artists who can almost do no wrong. Thanks for the vid.

Why are avant-prog female violinists so hot?

Oh wow the beginning of that was unbearable. The rest of it was well shot, though. I had already heard some of their music earlier in the year, and I still feel kind of meh about it, so I won't be getting the album. But Carla deserves all the money she can get!

I don't like it that the images change so quickly, but the music is great! Thumbs Up

Bingo. Wink

Does Lynette from The Red Masque play violin? I don't remember for sure.

The girl from Koenjihyakkei would have been a good addition to the list, but my memory wasn't helping me, she plays the reeds instead.

The chick from A Silver Mt. Zion is pretty hot too. Jess or something. I can't recall her name.

Oh and to be on topic Fred Frith is awesome.
