Subject: WARNING: Server Upgrade in the next hours
Date Posted: January 05 2011 at 15:05
Hi all PAers.

In a continuous effort to offer a positive experience while surfing, using the site, I have decided to upgrade to a new and more powerful server to host the site and forum.

In a hope to :
  • eliminate the server timeouts and other related problems
  • faster response time and page loading
  • faster post response
  • handle more simultaneous users

Beware, I am planning to do it in the next hours or so, I am expecting a downtime of 1 or 2 hours.

Thanks and report issue here (once upgraded).

when I look at the previews in the "avatar upload" section there is a 404 server error message shown instead.  If I select one of those broken avatars, my picture becomes the default "no avatar" picture

Opening band pages is better now, but not perfect.

For instance, Frank Zappa's page would take about 45 seconds to open on my computer before the upgrade.  It's down to about 20 seconds now.  i can live with that.

EVOLVER, as for the server processing power, you need to look at the PAGE FOOTER note  Server processing time: 0.92 seconds .

If it takes 45s or 20s to get all the page loaded, it's either your browser (computer) is slow or your ISP , are you using a MODEM 14.4 Kbps ? Embarrassed Because there is so many covers to download .

On a not related subject.

There is a couple of bands in PA with a very considerable following of young and very attractive women. They are also operating here. Off course all is morally proper and all above board. But there is actually hope for those of you seeking female companionship through PA after all.

Sorry to disappoint you, but there is already one on the net. It has ratings of all major escorte agencies and their staff world wide. I also believe there is a male escorts rating website on the net.

Some females in Scandinavia also set up a "rate your boyfriend/one night stand" website which created a heck of a lot media exposure over there. In particular because it included the names and photos. One night stands got their ratings the day after their bedsheets performance posted on the net......... detailed reviews. It made several adonises impotent for a while. LOL LOL

Edit: A female collegue has just whispered in my ear that there is a very much used gigolo/male escort website covering all major cities which is extensive used by female jetsetters and business women.

Sorry M@X but you have to come up with something more original than this.

Oh noes! I hate to report bad news, but whilst attempting to go to an external link on the forum, instead of sending me to that link, it gave me this message:

Server Error

< style="padding-top: 0px; padding-right: 15px; padding-bottom: 10px; padding-left: 15px; ">

404 - File or directory not found.

The resource you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.

Now I can bypass this easily by just copy-and-pasting the link, but it is still a nuisance!
