Hello! Do you know any bands similar to Control Denied? I decided to ask here because my findings disappointed me. I can only find some power metal bands or artists which are overloaded by technical parts. Could you please help me? Thank you in advance! |

Obviously DEATH, but check out Pestilence "Spheres", Atheist "Unquestionable Presence" and "Elements"; old school death metal in the vein of DEATH. If you're looking for the clean epic metal vocals, pretty much any and all Symphony X records will do you good. Masterplan is an epic power metal band from Germany that you'll probably enjoy if you like the melodic side of DEATH/Control Denied. Chuck Schuldiner is arguably my greatest inspiration, great to see this thread!

Nocturnus was great, I'd actually suggest "Thresholds" for a more progressive twist. Anything by the band Believer is great, and Gorguts takes the cake for me
