Or should the title read: music in/of directions

indeed under that Miles-provoking title, PaNoPTiCoN is one of the hottest JR/F band from Brussels.. and the result are strongly reminiscent of Bitches Brew, but every gig of theirs is rather different

A constantly changing line-up, mostly made from drummer Domenico Solazzo and whomever he feels should participate to the next improvised gig, this band has released quite a bit (if not all) of their gigs.

The PaNoPTiCoN principle is as follows: Dom dreams up a sequence of improvisation and prepares the canvas on his laptop a series of sonic ambiances to start each future number. He then invites some of his music buddies and gives them some directions as to where to head off (much like Miles did, hence the thread title and the PaNoPTiCoN philosophy) and they all invade the grounds to be explored.

^I remember seeing their albums dominating the recently added list last year and wondering what their relation to Isis was.

Sounds interesting will have to give them a try.
