Both have a similar rating and share things in common, but the latter is sometimes considered more friendly and the former the more innovating one.
 
Still, I think Man-Child is the better album, more refined less incosistent.
 
Thrust is probably their best in terms of composition and playing.

The Headhunters. Even better is the album of the Headhunters themselves; Survival of the fittest.

Headhunters has Chameleon and the funk version of Watermelon Man, but Man-Child is a more consistent album.

Yeah, those are my thoughts with the exception that I'm not really fond of the funk version of Watermelon Man. I prefer the jazz one by a wide margin.

me too

in fact, i prefer the live version of Watermelon Man from Flood than the studio. But the original is the best (i just recently learned the song on guitar; very fun)
