I have not seen any threads like this though I wasn't here forever like some of you addicts.
But I was wondering which Prog logo of a band really gets you excited, or which logo do you think is most effective and the best you have seen. You can post more than one, but please post the actual logo... here's mine.

Although I'm hardly impartial about what is my favourite Prog band, it's gotta be the ELP logo (which Emerson claims to have designed if his autobiography is to be believed) Another one I like however is the Greenslade logo:  -------------

I have no idea, I didn't know my pics don't show up. How long has this been going? Does anyone else get the same thing? The image I posted comes from imageshack, but you should normally be able to see it even if you don't have an imageshack account. |

I'm partial to the original Rush logo and even have a shirt to show it off!
And while they aren't prog in the least, I also like Foo Fighters' logo. Has a classic feel to it:

Geez it looks like a glorified butterfly collection!
I always thought that when i flick through metal Cds and it is rather strange to have illegible logos. i thought bands wanted to be known.... not black metal it seems. These logos look like art designs - symmetrically balanced and lots of Gothic touches. Not one logo above is legible... not one... weird. -------------

The cover of Goldmine Magazine's "Prog Rock" issue has a graphic that shows Yes, ELP, Genesis and Flash logos! Flash had a very elegant logo, nearly art-deco in design.
