Orpheus - atmospheric rock with some progressive elements; based in the UK; see: www.myspace.com/orpheusofficial They have a debut album out in 2010 and a new EP announced this year. They should definitely be on prog archives - great musicianship and doing something interesting. |

By the way, because those links on MMF are medleys, there is a full track here that you may want to listen to: http://www.orpheus.ws/Nansen.mp3 With the classical/jazz etc. influences in Orpheus I can't see which other category they are better suited to overall than in prog. The obvious comparison is Opeth, but Orpheus is less metal orientated with them, with some different approaches.

^ It would be good to have more samples to evaluate them. Medleys are very, very short and I have yet to hear that Nansen track. But still, it's just one track.
