I was on Amazon.com and it said the new remastered versions of "Power and Glory" and "Interview" are coming out Tuesday, June 21, but haven't read about it anywhere else. Could someone clear this up for me?

Damn, I HATE these remasters.....I tell myself, "I ain't gonna shell out any more cash on Gentle Giant CDs"......then I hear the quality of sound and get interested in the bonus tracks and then "POOF" I'm out $20 and I'll have two copies of "Interview" on the shelf!  WE SHOULD GET DISCOUNTS FOR BRINGING "OLD" COPIES IN WHEN BUYING REMASTERS OF THE SAME CD!

Agreed! I just bought the entire GG catalog up to The Missing Piece in the last few months, and now I'm gonna do it again.

Hopeless consumer I am...

You could sell the older versions on eBay perhaps?

The remasters come in slip cases. That's what the front of the slip case looks like, but the actual CD does have the cover. I bought the remastered edition of "In A Glass House."

How would you rate this remaster in terms of audio quality compared to the previous CD edition?

It is better, but (at least for me), it wasn't enough to say "Oooh, I absolutely MUST have these new remasters." Yet, I'm not one to go completely ga-ga over audio reamsters. Pretty much the first edtion remasters do it for me.

But maybe to some, it sounds WAY better. Perhaps you could just purchase one remasters and see how you like it compared to an older one you have?

Good, this was one thing worrying me. At least the albums themselves have the real covers.

T'was a worry to me too... As soon as I gain a little cash again this will be essential purchases, along with Paul Stump's book on The Boys In The Band.

Power And The Glory and In'terview Remasters are indeed available now, to answer your question. Be FOREWARNED........ DO NOT buy the In'terview remaster, it is flawed and sounds terrible.  Apparently only the left channel was remastered and positioned in the center of the stereo spectrum, with the right channell (unremastered) in the right channel at a much lower volume!  I am assuming that they will issue a recall and reissue it properly later this year. As far as the sound goes, the other 3 available (Glass House, Free Hand, Power & Glory) sound EXCELLENT. My only complaints are that the slipcases are cheesy looking, there isn't much of a booklet beyong the lyrics, and there could have been a lot more bonus tracks, even if they were just live versions. All of that is minor though, the songs are what count.

P.S. If anyone hears any official info about the In'terview remaster please post it!
