This is a gorgeous album, but I wouldn't place it at the apex of Italian prog: that belongs IMO to Banco and PFM (don't ask me to choose between them, I couldn't) with Area close behind.

Still, none of that can detract from this late masterpiece

Locanda delle Fate's album is one of the finest symphonic prog works from Italy. I cherish it as a stunning exposure of well crafted melodies, counterpoints, performed with finesse and emotional involvement

I prefer don't make comparisons with another Italian gems. Forse Le Lucciole... is a masterpiece as well as other pieces from Italy. Music to enjoy!

lucas, I don't agree that Forse Le Lucciole Non Si Amano Pi· is the quintessence of Italian Progressive Rock, as I don't think it is the most perfect example of that genre, although it is a great album in my opinion and I adore it. Having
