This has probably been done before, but oh well.

Simple question...which of the 8 min + songs from Egg's last album tickles your fancy the most?

Personally I believe these are where the true strengh of the album lies, but if you prefer one of the shorter tracks feel free to say so, but also vote. Tongue

I'm going to have to hear all three again before voting.

Enneagram followed by Wring Out The Ground(Loosely Now).
I agree with you about these tracks being the album's strength. The two tracks i mentioned are simply incredible.Makes me want to give this album a spin.

Great album and a tough decision... I guess I'll vote for "Wring Out The Ground (Loosely Now)"

One of the first prog albums I heard. I voted for Wring Out the Ground but all three are great. How about I make a poll for the shorter tracks? Thumbs Up

As for me, I'll say: Enneagram, then Germ Patrol, then WRTG(LN).

^i agree with the Hatman, Enneagram is probably my favorite Egg tune (besides Long Piece) though Germ Patrol was the song that left me craving for more Canterbury scene when I first discovered this site.

Wring Out The Ground (Loosely Now) - Steve 'Speshul Guest Star' Hillage is here, Mont's vocals, and a beautiful and most adventurous D.S. solo on his wrelchy Hammond Clap - YAY !!!
Germ Patrol and Enneagram are superb too.

In the Billboard guide to progressive rock reviewer Bradley Smith called "Wring Out The Ground Loosely Now" a plodding monstrosity LOL, but I actually like it and vote for it.

Bradley Smith obviously doesn't have any taste whatsoever, and this above post from dr prog, well, Mont's vox are an acquired taste - he's very 'English' with a somewhat bland timbre, but given the fact that Clive Brooks and Dave Stewart prabably sound worse, this is what we have.  He's not the world's best vocalist, yet he captures the true spirit of Canterbury, much in the same way as Robert Wyatt and Richard Sinclair do.
