Hello Folks,

I have nice news about Riverside. For our 10th birthday we have prepared a special release which will be available during the forthcoming tour. The EP entitled "Memories In My Head" contains 33 minutes of fresh music. The songs have the following titles:

1. Goodbye Sweet Innocence

2. Living In The Past

3. Forgotten Land

This new material, concerning (for obvious reasons) the themes of the passing time, will be a pleasant surprise for those who have missed the specific kind of melodies and space known from the bands early releases. We have consciously gone back to our beginnings to create a certain kind of a circle. This mini-album will contain three longer compositions most resembling those from our first two albums. The result is a quite interesting, spacious, film-soundtrackish, nostalgic, and most of all rock mixture, summing up our career's first decade quite well. "Memories In My Head" is an album which appears out of nowhere, without much promotion; we hope, though, that its content can defend itself and that it will evoke a lot of positive emotions. It does that to us, and we will prove it soon, playing those songs live at our upcoming gigs.

Great! Can't wait to hear it... They really impressed me with ADHD, though I understand it that this will sound more like their early material.

This sounds awesome, especially since I like their earlier material a lot more than their more recent albums.

Cool. This EP lets them "go back to their roots" yet still (from what I'm assuming) continue to progress to the next phase of their career (the new album)

The concerts at which it will be possible to buy this minialbum and hear the new songs live will begin on 5th of May in Prague (CZ) and finish on 29th of May in Warsaw (PL). Tides From Nebula, a band from Poland, will support Riverside at the 12 European concerts, and the Pineapple Thief from Great Britain and Paatos from Sweden will do the same at the 6 Polish gigs."

I'm glad to see some new Riverside material, although getting a hold of a copy of this new EP will be quite hard for us here in the U.S.  I'm hoping a few people will try sell some copies on eBay or something.

It looks like you can only buy the album at their concerts this summer.  Hopefully they'll release it online after (or hopefully during) the tour.

Woops.Tongue  Didn't see this thread.  But yeah, I'm pretty excited about this.  Now, how to get a copy all the way here in the U.S.

I think they said they won't be releasing a new full-length album any earlier than 2012.  Still, I'm definitely looking forward to this new EP.  Hopefully, it won't be too difficult to acquire in the States.

Just bumping this thread to mention that the band put up a sample from the new EP on their website.

http://riversideband.pl/en/index.php

I think the band will either make a special edition of their next album containing the EP as a second disc or sell the EP directly on their website after the tour.

Sounds great. I'll have to check it out eventually. I really love their first two albums.
