If you can, I highly recommend making it to this show. The main reason I went was for Brainticket, and they didn't do any of their recent electronic material. Everything they played was from their early 70s albums just as i'd hoped, and they did an excellent job.  They sounded better live than on their records, and I'm a big fan of their albums.  So you're in for a treat if you're going...

Nektar was really good too.  I enjoyed the 1st half of their set a lot more than the 2nd though... But I don't like that much Nektar. So if you're a big fan, you shouldn't be disappointed...

Hi,

By now, a whole bunch of these shows have already happened ... anyone?

Nektar, has always put out very well in any show and Roye would not do it if he can not get the sound and the quality that he wants ... Brainticket is rather interesting, considering that it was mostly a studio band, not quite a touring band ... and I'm not sure that Joel will bringing along all the ghosts and sound effects and a woman to make the most fun album come alive on the stage! That could be way too sexy and bizarre for an American audience I would think ... but it sure was fun to hear it a hundred times on Space Pirate Radio ... the only show that had guts to play the far out things!

I got to see the New York show and it was great. It was really something to finally get to see Brainticket.

Basically, they played their first three albums but without any filler songs, so it was only their really great stuff. The vocalist was also something. I would describe it as "crazy". She came out in a medusa costume and would scream at the audience with all these howling effects, natural for psychedlic rock of course.

Nektar was also really amazing, they played a few new songs, but they also played Remember the Future, Dream Nebula, and some others from Tab in the Ocean, amongst other great songs.

Overall, if you love Krautrock and Space Rock then this tour was a must see. If you missed it, I feel really sorry for you.
