Neither if you ask me.... But Black Market is somewhat admittedly better.

I just got Tail Spinnin' yesterday!  It's real good, but I think Black Market is still better (and arguably my favorite Weather Report).

Black Market. Procession is thier best album from the 80's IMO.

in fact i own the whole collection but i'm not realy keen on Mister gone and the two last ones........and i love them all+i've a special link with Night Passage, this album is incredible too

I must say that I haven't heard much from the 80's Vioctor Bailey era. It simply doesn't do anything for me at all
 
 
I agree that Mr Gone is definitely weird and certainly not their best >>> Shorter is almost absent and Zawinul choses some really disputable synth sounds!!! the best thing about that album is the artwork...
