Just passing through, so treat this message as you
please, in case you want to delete, or whatever.

Two comments that I must make before departing.

Let us define true Prog Rock as being ELP/Yes/UK/Genesis
and similar "combos".

I have to note that some apparently being classified here
as "Prog" do not seem to qualify, by that definition, in
particular, one known as "Dream Theatre".

In fact, the type reminds me of the typical assemblage
of studio musicians, such as Toto, or metal hacks, such
as Motorhead, or the sort.

If that stamps on your feet, just move along.

Anyway, these types should be isolated, if included,
as being {other}.

My last observation and suggestion concerns a phenomenon
that always happens in a music forum of this type,
unfortunately.

It is the obvious onslaught of the "Dream Theatre"
(or other, for that matter) "army", in promoting the
exaggerated popularity of a musical collection, or form,
through mutually concentrated forum aggregation.

This sort of thing should be controlled, if possible,
when it is noticed.

Well, that should cover it and I hope that you whinging
activists and advocates can avoid an embolism, as you
read this.
