Greetings all! For all the Quah fans out there, I thought I'd give this thread some new life by mentioning that Brookvale Records is releasing a fully remastered 40th anniversary edition of Quah for RSD 2014. We are ecstatic about how great it sounds and can't wait to hear what you guys think! If you thought the original sounded good...

Here is the initial  http://brookvalerecords.com/brookvale-rsd-announcement/" rel="nofollow - announcement  from our website. The nationwide RSD run will be 2500 copies on solid Sunshine Yellow vinyl. Remastered from the original reels by Jeffrey Norman and pressed at URP. Poly-lined sleeves. Custom "Old Style" Tip-On Gatefold Single Pocket Jacket from Stoughton Printing Co.

We'll also have a very special Yellow & Red Split colored vinyl variant for our retail outlet on Long Island, Looney Tunes CDs. Only 500 made.

Watch this short http://youtu.be/Hx6jVFTZcwc" rel="nofollow - video highlighting the release and let us know what you think!

Hmm...listened to most of the album and I still like Hot Tuna better though they are more electric than Quah.
The acoustic guitar was very nice but can't say the vocals did much for me on Quah.

btw..not trying to steal the thread but if you like 'primitive'  folk/ blues guitar try Jack Rose.

^ I used to have this album, the best part of it was the cover-art. Sure Jorma's picking style is awesome, but I could never appreciate Hobson's contribution - that "sweet, Haa-woy-ian sunshine"......
Still love Hot Tuna heaps, esp. the incredible debut and the live Double Dose.
