Hi!

I want to recommend a new band: BaK
It is the new group executing east progressive metal in the spirit of such executors, as Orphaned Land, Amaseffer, Myrath. Echoes of music of group Ayreon concerning melodies and a vocal are sometimes heard.

I urgently recommend!

I think it's time to "up" this topic. I've recently discovered "Sculptures" and it's a shame that there are so few reviews of it across the WWWeb !!! If some of you speak a little bit of French, you can read one of these reviews right here:

Yeah, 9/10: I'm really enthousiastic about it. :)

And an interview will be online in the weeks to come (it will be BOTH in French and English this time) ...

I think I'll beat Caio to this one

They are under evaluation by the Prog Metal team, and you can follow their progress here: http://progfreak.com/BaK-147764.html?path=pa/recent" rel="nofollow - http://progfreak.com/BaK-147764.html?path=pa/pm

The band has been approved but we have trouble locating information on the band.
Any help is welcome...

Try contacting them via the email addresses given as a press contact on either of their two facebook pages:

1/ http://fr-fr.facebook.com/pages/BaK-sculpture/109551299123111#!/pages/BaK-sculpture/109551299123111?sk=info" rel="nofollow - http://fr-fr.facebook.com/pages/BaK-sculpture/109551299123111#!/pages/BaK-sculpture/109551299123111?sk=info  which is: mailto:[email protected]" rel="nofollow - [email protected] .

or alternatively try doing it via the "all other inquiries" link on their bandcamp page. If they are willing to be added to the site then they will hopefully give you the info.

There WAS a US band called Shaitan Mazar formed in 2003, who also played very technical metal, and released just one album in 2005 called "Catalyst Of Amalgamation". A couple of members of this band were also in the band Nile, who of course had Egyptian and Middle Eastern influences, and ALSO played a very technical brand of metal, but despite these apparent coincidences (the strange email address in the first case, and the Eastern influenced metal in the second) I cannot trace any definite links from either band to BaK, who it appears are from Australia in any case.
