Can't decide, they're pretty much flawless (especially Echoes, Shine and Dogs).... Well, probably AHM has a few more flaws than the rest but it's still very tough to choose just 1

The poll is asking which epic, out of the ones listed, is your favorite.

Echoes is very beautiful, but Atom Heart Mother's concept is the most interesting. The other two are boring.

I've always like Echos a lot. I feel like Shine On is good, but I've never liked it as much as other people do.

"Echoes" is really just a nice typical 5-minute PF song that bookends an unrelated spacy jam and good climax.

"Atom Heart Mother" is a smorgasbord of underdeveloped ideas, some of which are interesting, but the piece as a whole doesn't stick together.

"Shine on You Crazy Diamond" coheres a little better, though the best part is IMO easily the first 5 minutes, and that's a risky way to structure an epic.  But it does pretty much sum up what Pink Floyd were all about.

"Dogs" is probably my favorite.  The main chord sequence is interesting and distinctive, and there is a constantness to the feel of it.

I voted "can't decide" though out of all these compositions, I do find myself strangely attracted to Atom Heart Mother, it has a sort of magic to it, even in the name itself (and cover).
Plus I do dig those choral voices..

BTW, when I do listen to Atom Heart Mother these days, it's mostly from the Peel Session, performed live, which is fantastic!

The first two struggle to fill their side-long lengths, and contain filler. Shine On and Dogs are equally brilliant, to me.

Something like this.
An impossible choice really.
It is entirely not like: What would you have for dinner: python, boa, viper, cobra or sea serpent?

Shine On for me (played all parts together). However, if I think about it, I could have gone for any option and be satisfied with it (the "I can't decide" option included). All of this songs are just perfect to my ears.

The Atom Heart Mother suite.  I think Geesin, and Aldiss, did terrific work on it.

I thought this poll was missing something, and then I get it. Pink Floyd's long epics all lose their meanings when compared to the 5-minute masterpiece of "Wish You Were Here".

Atom Heart Mother, beats out Echoes, which beats out the other two by a considerable distance.
