I didn't find any other Youtube sample of them, so you ought to hear these awesome tracks as "Analogies for the Universe", "Requiem" and "Lip Gloss", on their Myspace page.

Another absolutely unique sounding band, that surely have to be found a place on here. They are essentialy a two piece outfit consisting of Justin Ashworth: vocals/ guitars/ synths/ electronics & Adam Rudegeair: pianos/ synths/ melodica, but they use various guest musicians to add texture to their sound.
From their facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/glasfrosch#!/glasfrosch?sk=info" rel="nofollow - http://www.facebook.com/glasfrosch#!/glasfrosch?sk=info  "Exploring sound and genre through elements of popular and experimental music, film music and jazz, Glasfrosch make music that is colourful, dreamlike, and challenging. Using ambient synths and angular beats, FX drenched guitars and jazz heavy piano, with lyrics heavily influenced by surrealist writing, and zen." They class themselves as "ambient/experimental/pop".

Handled by Anon Islet Records, where you can read their bio: http://www.anonisletrecords.com/artists/glasfrosch.html" rel="nofollow - - http://www.amazon.com/You-Far-Enough-Into-Sky/dp/B00584UCCE/ref=sr_1_1_digr?s=music&ie=UTF8&qid=1316618311&sr=1-1

Four tracks are available at the myspace page in the previous post, but Justin has another myspace page: http://www.myspace.com/fleetingpoetry/videos/following" rel="nofollow - http://www.myspace.com/fleetingpoetry/videos/following  where there are eight tracks of his, including three more that feature on this album.

Post Rock/Experimental or Avant Prog?...Hell, you tell me!! - It's good stuff though! Thumbs Up

It's beautiful atmospheric music, but I'm not hearing the progressiveness. Maybe Andy?

I've noticed this band has a new 5 track EP on their band camp page,  http://glasfrosch.bandcamp.com" rel="nofollow - http://glasfrosch.bandcamp.com  and some pretty interesting live clips on youtube,  http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCAjNAKQ7g_O2ieRT5a7byog" rel="nofollow - http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCAjNAKQ7g_O2ieRT5a7byog  It looks like they've been busy since the last album but are still pretty unknown.

The newer stuff has way more progressive ideas and rhythms than the first album. There's a King Crimson Larks Tongue vibe to one song, and some more heavy, almost verging on mathrock moments. The ambient vibes are still there but the drums play a bigger part in it. What do you reckon?

Sounds promising, I'd say. Thanks for digging up the old thread. I'll alert the crossover boys.
