This is an absolutely stunning performance.  Just recently out on Soleil Zeuhl.

This is a must for fans of zeuhl, jazz-rock, etc.  All the players are spectacular but this might be Phillipe Bussonnet's finest hour.  And those that know his history and recordings know that's saying something.

Interesting. I remember posting in the Zeuhl thread something about a Magma + One Shot, if I remember well, tour in Japan. It must be from those days.

Do you also have the 2008 concert DVD? I saw some extracts of it on the internet and they didn't seem to capture the sound and intensity of the live experience. But if this one is better, I'm interested. And yeah, Bubu does play a bad-ass fuzz bass solo in their concerts.

I do - it was packaged with the Dark Shot studio album - but I only got to listen to it once and have since forgotten any details.  Embarrassed

Also, the new keyboard player (Bruno Rader, I think his name is) is outstanding.

Still need to get more by these guys. Only have one album. Been meaning to get Dark Shot for ages now. Good to hear this is a winner.

imo "One Shot (aka Reforged) 1999 is the best, then Ewaz Vader '06. This current release is really outstanding too though!

Hmm interesting. Haven't really heard much about Reforged. But maybe I'll get that next...it is quite a bit cheaper than DS. Tongue

Just ordered this live one as well. Looking forward to it ever more.
