Iīve had a free jazz record by Wolfgang Dauner called Output for a couple of years, and I just recently found out that Dauner also had a group called Et Cetera. Eberhard Weber, Larry Coryell and Jon Hiseman all played in this band! Iīve searched a couple of times, and they werenīt listed under Wolfgang either This is wild stuff, but man I am won over!! I love finding music from the 70s that still sounds this fresh and uncharted. A very tasty combo of Kraut, Indian music and fusion, and Iīm actually really digging Exmagma at the moment, which is band that sounds pretty close to this.Et Cetera made 2 albums and one live recording, - this is what I found from the studios: This first one is a wonderful chill pill: And here we get close to the circus Kraut fusion: Second record Knirsch: I need to get my hands on these babies  ------------- The Guide says there is an art to flying or rather a knack. I just found these as well The first one is just about one of the most unique sounding songs Iīve heard in a while: This is also from the first album but played live here - and using a tarang!! Ok Alex - I didnīt know that was the proper way - now that Iīve moved over to the dark side  Iīll be sure to remember it for next time. BTW - I tend to use RYM as well, whenever I come across new artists. Et Cetera were no exception. Most reviews on the site are horrible though - and then maybe once in a while, somebody from PA writes one, and things look differently I read some Tears for Fears reviews by Gazzardian which were very good... ------------- The Guide says there is an art to flying or rather a knack. ^That is definitely one thatīs high on my list John. I can easily picture you on a dark Canadian highway with some weird Krautrock blasting out through the windows - scarring young Justin Bieber fans right down in their very souls Iīll tell you right away, itīs definitely not the same on a bike - even if I am listening to Monster Movie on a small ghetto blaster... ------------- The Guide says there is an art to flying or rather a knack.  There is actually already an artist or two by this name in the archives, I've got the CD by the Canadian Et Cetera and it's quite alright. I didn't know their was a Kraut band with this name too though.

Those were indeed some great reviews, and they made me re-visit both The Hurting and Songs From the Big Chair. Great band - and I happen to prefer the original version of Mad World  From reading some of your reviews here on PA - I think you should try Et Cetera. Itīs out there, but in a charming way (at least thatīs what they sound like to me...)
