Yet another great find Svetonio! I can't find any definite release date for this one anywhere, so we may have to wait a while before the evaluation can go ahead, but the band will be a dead cert for addition I would think. As an aside, Collin Leijenaar's other band, Dilemma, got back together last year after a fairly long hiatus, and are active again, with a new album promised. They are already on here, but just have the one release so far from 1995, called "Imbroccata", which was recorded before Collin joined them.

The band is currently being evaluated by the progressive metal team.

You can follow the evaluation http://progfreak.com/Affector-150424.html?path=pa/pm" rel="nofollow - HERE .

That's nice! BTW, I used that PA *search* option but get no result.

Yea, this is a newest progrock supegroup, no doubt.
BTW, a nice artwork, isn't? I mean, in the style of catastrophy movies posters, as for example:

Protip: they are under evaluation because of your suggestion. Wink Tongue

I think we will clear this band as soon as the album is available, will you send me a PM when it is?

Well, it's been almost 5 months since this band were introduced to us, but I am pleased to say that Affector's debut album, "Harmagedon", which was mixed and mastered at The Mouse House in Los Angeles by Rich Mouser (Spock's Beard/Transatlantic/Neal Morse), will be released via InsideOutMusic on May 21st, 2012 in Europe and May 22nd, 2012 in North America: http://www.insideoutmusic.com/newsdetailed.aspx?IdNews=11007&IdCompany=8" rel="nofollow - http://www.insideoutmusic.com/newsdetailed.aspx?IdNews=11007&IdCompany=8
Expectations are high for this one - there are four 'yes' votes already for them on progfreak, despite only one sample (a 'teaser') ever being posted to the best of my knowledge (and since removed by the user). More samples are promised soon though - this YouTube channel was set up on 6th Feb for this purpose, but so far no vids have been uploaded:

Looking forward to this album much....! Thumbs Up

First sample has been uploaded to soundcloud.com - a radio edit of a track called 'New Jerusalem': http://soundcloud.com/affector" rel="nofollow - http://soundcloud.com/affector
Or you can listen to it at the band's facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/Affectormusic" rel="nofollow - http://www.facebook.com/Affectormusic .

Sounding pretty good to me - less than a month to go now to the album's official release. Smile

Here's an update of the InsideOut sampler video for the album, the original of which was removed from YouTube by the user:

Could someone please add these guys? It's been two weeks since the release date and I'd like to do my little part in promoting this excellent album.

The time it takes for a band to get added on PA is not the same as the time it takes for a band to get added on MMA.  ^

I understand that, but it looks like the voting is over and the band has been approved - isn't that the time difference?  Is there any other approval process here?  I don't understand what the holdup is, if the voting process has approved the band.

Bands that have been approved tend to not be added here very quickly. it took Volcano The Bear ( http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=6574" rel="nofollow - http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=6574 ) 5 years to get added after they were approved (if I remember correctly.)

I can't wait to see them up on the archive. This is easily one of my favorite releases in 2012 so far.

Maybe you want to write a bio and do the addition then?
That is after finishing your full-time day job, getting the kid from day-care, entertain her while preparing a meal for the family and hoping you're not too exhausted to watch 45 minutes of soccer before dropping dead in bed?

I have a full time job and two toddlers, and I have found the time to add artists on MMA. Just go to MMA and copy paste, dude!

Five minute job right there...

We do not copy biographies from MMA. We do not copy our Censoreding reviews from there either.

Oh gosh Dean, seriously.  I was told when I went over there, and I quote:
"Copy/ pasting metal related reviews from Prog Archives to Metal Music Archives is both approved and encouraged by mailto:M@X" rel="nofollow - M@X ."

Of course it is - he wants to build MMA quickly. We do not encourage the flow of reviews in the opposite direction. Primarily because there is no need, secondarily because a review of the same album for a Prog site should be different to that for a Metal site.
