Guapo's Black Oni followed, I think, by Koenjihyakkei's Angherr Shisspa, but alas, again my choices are not popular enough for these polls.

Lovely pair of albums- if you listen to "Gloomy News" and not have your face melted you're not a person.
Fave of 2005 though probably has to be Pak's "Motel"- it is a masterpiece of anything music and the rhythms there can make Bruford's arms twist.

Neal Morse only because Riverside is doing fine. Second Life Syndrome and ? are equally great to me, though.

Wonderful year, nearly every album on the list is great. Love especially Arena, Opeth, Sieges Even, Porcupine Tree, Oceansize and even Sigur Ros, such amazing albums. I miss Kino's Picture, and probably my favorite that year - Presto Ballet's Peace Among the Ruins.

This was a toughy between Deadwing, Second Life Syndrome and Everyone Into Position for me. All fantastic albums, but Deadwing edges out the other two just slightly.
