| Never really got into Sigur Ros, I love the Post-Rock genre, but somehow I just can't enjoy one of the major founders of the genre. SGM, is however one of the better bands in this tournament. So SGM it is. |

I quite like Sigur Ros even though they are a bit of an acquired taste, but SGM are absoiutely terrible. Of Natural History is one of the worst albums I've ever bought. ------------- A TVR is not a car. It's a way of life. |

| When you've had a bad day, nothing is better than sitting down and listening to a bit of Sigur Ros. I don't think the same can be said for SGM however, and since I prefer relaxing to being agitated (what SGM does to me), got to be SR. |

My listens to SGM have been interesting; my listens to Sigur Ros have put me to sleep. Not all that big on either band, but SGM gets my vote. -------------

Does the singing in songs like FC: the freedom club remind anyone else of Renate Knaupp from Amon Duul 2? So far, Sigur Ros is winning. But I'll say one thing for SGM. They make you pay attention to their music. ------------- Thanks !! Your topics always so good and informative. I like you talk. |

Sigur Ros for me! I'm not a big fan of the Post-Rock genre but I've heard alot of beautiful music from Sigur Ros. SGM is worth listening to but I find it a bit too weird for repeated listens  ------------- A GREAT YEAR FOR PROG!!! |

I haven't listened to SGM in about five years, and really didn't like Of Natural History one bit before (I love most acts in RIO/Avant Prog that I know, and have cited that one as my least liked), but maybe I'm ready to try it again as my tastes have expanded since then.. I haven't listened to Sigur Ros much in the last eight years, but used to like them very much (before I got back into Prog, Sigur Ros was maybe my favourite modern band). I won't vote before returning to both. ------------- Just a fanboy passin' through. |
