I left out "Leftoverture" and "Point of Know Return" because those would be the two albums that would probably win. Also, I want the results to be more "scientific." Now, concentrating solely on these 3 albums, which one of these great releases is your favorite? Here's how I would rank them: 3. Kansas 2. Masque 1. Song for America Superb albums, all of them, though. -------------

I'm probably in the minority here, but I prefer Song for America even over Leftoverture and Point. ------------- I can understand your anger at me, but what did the horse I rode in on ever do to you? |

^ I think there are others like you out there. At times, I find myself listening to these 3 more than their 2 most popular releases. I listen to Monolith from time to time but it's not one of my favorites. -------------

I would rate Song for America as the best of the three as a progressive album, but as for my favorites:
1. Masque
2. Kansas
3. Song for America
Masque and Kansas are more representative of the band's overall sound and influences, and are more collaborative while Song for America and Leftoverture are pretty heavily Livgren-influenced.

| Love the debut although thats mainly for Death of Mother Nature Suite I suspect. Point Of Know Return and Leftoverture have some great songs but they don't really gel completely for me. I guess its the old thing of preferring prog albums with longer tracks. Song For America is also very good btw. |

The results are going as I expected (with Song for America on top). I'm surprised that Masque has a low rating (compared to their debut, Song for America, etc.) I really don't think it "deserves" it's 3.70ish rating, but that's my opinion. Great moments in the album, ESPECIALLY the last 2 songs that make up the "2-part Masque Epic," as I like to call it, "Mysteries and Mayhem" and "The Pinnacle." -------------

| I'm interested in getting some Kansas albums... eventually. By now I only have a greatest hits album, and for what I can tell, I'm more interested in the pre-Leftoverture albums. The songs I heard from those albums just sound more progeressive (and interesting) than those on Leftoverture and Point of Know return. |

I like the first song. Sets a nice, upbeat mood to the album from the start.  -------------
