| Singing wise, strictly an acquired taste but like Kate Bush a bit more. As a composer, Kate Bush by a long way, my favourite female rock/pop songwriter. |

Who do I enjoy more? Kate Bush, I have no Newsom. Maybe I'll give her a try sometime but now is not the time. ------------- Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

Both are brilliant. I can listen to Kate all day, but sometimes grow tired of Joannas voice really fast. But in concert she's one of the best artists I've ever heard. Still I vote for Kate. Maybe I'd think differently in ten years.

Joanna Newsom has released a new album titled Divers and is on tour..apparently making an appearance in Royal Oak, MI next week.
