Have to mention what a great spread of artists/albums you have had recently especially over Christmas. Thanks to you I have discovered some great bands I may never have heard. including but not limited to Anubis, Introitus, Fusonic and Sanhedrin. You also have had some some albums up by more well established bands like Big Big Train, Mostly Autumn. In fact I realised I was missing a Carptee Album which for some reason had escaped me called 'Nympf'. Great band great album.
In summary thanks and keep up the good work

Hi folks!

Since our last newsletter the following albums have been added to Progstreaming. Beware! Some of them will be at Progstreaming for only a month, so hurry up listening to it, and decide quickly if you want to buy it. Check the artists websites, the e-stores of the labels, or the banners for the best way for you to obtain this.

* Neal Morse - Testimony 2: Live In Los Angeles (for one month only). You can listen to a low/res-version of the 3 CDs, but the boxset contains a further 2 DVDs.
* Transatlantic - More Never Is Enough (for one month only). You can listen to a low/res-version of the 3 CDs, but the boxset contains a further 2 DVDs.
* Gazpacho - London. Live 2CD.
* Wally - To The Urban Man. Live 2CD. Not that the band is sending this free of P&P!
* Damian Wilson - I Thought The World Was Listening 1997-2011. 2CD collection with 31 songs. Check out the competition below!
* The Anabasis - Back From Being Gone. Featuring Lee Abraham and Ryo Okumoto (Spock's Beard).
* Meniscus - War Of Currents.
* 66Crusher - Blackest Day.
* Garden Wall - Assurdo.
* Discipline. - To Shatter All Accord.

Win a SIGNED copy of the 2CD by Damian Wilson! The label is kind enough to offer Progstreaming 3 copies, personally signed by Damian! For that, you'll have to name some of the bands and/or albums he has contributed on in his career. The best and most original answers will get a copy!

Last chance-listening:
The following streams will disappear within a week: Pirate, The Skys, Akt, Spettri, Mario Cottarelli, X-Panda, Graal and Subsignal. Check them out, while you can!

Support Progstreaming; we do need your help to keep this floating...

Enjoy all this music. Check out coming Wednesday, for more new progrock-releases.

Ghehe.

Now that I've got your attention, I need some tips for new CDs. I've got some 20 left for the next couple of weeks, but it's a bit quiet.

Gotta be not older than 6 months though, or upcoming.

March should be pretty bumpin' with new releases, with new ones from The Mars Volta, Meshuggah, Portnoy/Morse/Morse/LaRue/McPherson's new band Flying Colors, OSI, and a few others I can't think of.

Oh and Gavin Harrison & 05ric's new effort is coming out in a few weeks IIRC.

The forthcoming RPWL, if they want it on there.
A few recent additions to the PA database:
Glass Kites
Churn Milk Joan
Gandalf's Project
Zerothehero

All with new albums out in recent weeks and months.

Nagakanya - French band with an album out just now on Musea.

Effloresce - German band with their debut out on fledgling label Generation Prog Records these days.

IOEarth has a new album out these days too.

Great, keep em coming!

RPWL I'll do in March. Aethellis is also in. Edison's Children I'll do only for one week. Cross is also in (like everything Progress). Alias Eye is in (like everything Progrock).

Other labels I stream everything, without having to need further permission are AltrOck, 10T, Black Widow, Lynx, Musea, Glassville, Karisma, a few others I forgot.

Some labels just don't respond, like K-Scope. Often the bands or artists themselves give permission though. Finally there are some labels who just don't 'believe' in streaming, which are InsideOut (Thomas), Cuneiform (Steve), The Laser's Edge (Ken), F2 (Dave) and Frontiers (Marcello). Maybe (hopefully) they'll come around soon. I've tried my best!

Anyway, I like to share the new Raven Sad was listened to 1471 times since on-line last Thursday. Agents Of Mercy is more than 2400 times right now. On an average, streams receive a thousand listens in a fortnight, up untill 3000 listens in the whole duration of the stream.

I guess you have been in touch with Mellow Records, Galileo Records and Lizard Records? And MALS? Checking out http://www.alphalists.de/en/index.php?page=207" rel="nofollow - the labels here might be an idea. Some aren't alive anymore and some are sublabels, but should be a few there you haven't been in touch with.

I've send a press-release to Astra. Thanks!

Yeah, Raven Sad was a surprise for me too. Right up there with Airbag's latest, IMHO.
Try Lagartija too, right next to it. It's different (more in the vein of Paatos), but I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy it too.

* Lagartija - Particelle (listened to more than 1200 times since Thursday!)
* Telergy - The Exodus
* Acid Empire - Acid Empire

Popular streams also are as of now: Arena, DeeExpus, After, Syncromind Project (that one is for free), ExCubus, Yuka & Chronoship, Autumn, The Psychedelic Ensemble, Agents Of Mercy (more than 2500 listens!), Eye 2 Eye, Ignatius, After Crying and Light Coorporation.

Hi there,

Since our last newsletter 5 new CDs have been added to Progstreaming:

* Paul Cusick - P'dice
* Randy George - Action Reaction
* Aethellis - Northumbria
* Gandalf's Project - Insights
* AsZension - AsZension

Plus we have this new and exciting news:
* Progstreaming will endorse and cooperate with Progulator, a music blog for the pseudo sophisticated listener. Reviewer Matt Di Giordano will - under the moniker "Bite-sized Prog" review in small doses most (but not all) of the streams we present at Progstreaming. Surely a fun read! Every Saturday a new edition of Bite-sized Prog will appear, and the address is: http://progulator.com/reviews/bite-size-prog-intergalactic-troubadour-of-symphonic-fusion/" rel="nofollow - http://progulator.com/reviews/bite-size-prog-intergalactic-troubadour-of-symphonic-fusion/. Highly recommended!
* Progstreaming will also cooperate, as of now, with Syn-Phonic, an e-store run by Greg Walker since the age of dawn. To say he's good, would be an understatement worth severe punishment. He has almost everything in stock, and he's famous for delivering what others can't. On top of that, he's cheap, fast and trustworthy. His site is very old-fashioned, like all good old fashioned progrock. We all hope he'll never change. Please do visit his site: http://synphonic.8m.com/" rel="nofollow - http://synphonic.8m.com/. You will find a banner for Syn-Phonic at almost every stream.

Finally:
* Due to the success of Progstreaming the annual rate for copyright, to be paid to Dutch BUMA/Stemra has tripled! For that we are in serious need for sponsors or donations. You can use the PayPal donate button, or contact Progstreaming through this e-mail-address. Note that all money will directly flow to Progstreaming, and indirectly to the artists we stream.

Enjoy the music!

They've also recently set up their own Facebook, so why don't you all join them: http://www.facebook.com/progulator." rel="nofollow - http://www.facebook.com/progulator.

Next week we'll have Edison's Children's brilliant album for streaming, but - it's only for one week. So be ready for that.

Surprise!

Just moments ago Progstreaming put up a brand new stream, a real treat:

* Spock's Beard - The X Tour Live
The original package also comes with a DVD, so check this one out, and go ahead and buy it. If you've enjoyed 2010 "X", you will want this!

And now for something a bit more serious:

* Following the success of Progstreaming, the on-demand music-licenses have tripled. This is of course good news too, especially for the artists in question, but we don't want collapse under our own weight. So if you ever thought about supporting Progstreaming: now would be a good time. To motivate this: everyone donates $ 20 or more will automatically become a "Friend Of Progstreaming", which will come will all sorts of benefits soon to be announced.

Donating is easy: use the PayPal-button. If you don't have a PayPal-account, contact Progstreaming.

Hello!

Hope you're getting used to the renewed Progstreaming! This Weekend Special will bring you just the one item, and originally from 2000, BUT... we think it's a classic. Check out:

* Fabio Zuffanti & Victoria Heward - Merlin, The Rock Opera (2012 reissue)

Last chance listens! The following streams will soon be removed from Progstreaming:

* RPWL - Beyond Man And Time
* The Former Life - Electric Stillness
* Balloon Astronomy - Balloon Astronomy
* Musica Ficta - A Child & A Well
* MarProg The Festival - A Work Of Art

Thanks to all who've donated and become a Friend Of Progstreaming. We greatly appreciate it. All money will of course be invested into making Progstreaming even better!

The changes comes with one disadvantage: the previous Facebook-'likes' are gone. So again, 'like' the ones you like. You will find a Facebook-button under every artwork. There's a Twitter-button too! Use it to brag about your favorite prog-albums to friends!

We have Astra coming up, next Monday! Stay tuned!

Hello everyone!

Progstreaming this week has some real beauties:

* Astra - The Black Chord

* Beyond The Bridge - The Old Man And The Spirit

* ill - Gotten Gains

* Phi - For The Love Of Ghosts

* Dean Watson - Imposing Elements

* Lyrian - The Tongues Of Man And Angels

* Jack Dupon - Bascule A Vif

Last weekend we also had in a Special Update:

* Fabio Zuffanti and Victoria Heward - Merlin, The Rock Opera (mini-sleeve reissue)

Become a Friend Of Progstreaming! For 20 $ a year you support the site, and become part of the elite. This will come with gifts, and there's a lottery coming up!

Also, buy the CDs you like at Progstreaming. All the artists and labels involved with Progstreaming need your support. Progstreaming receives a small percentage on whatever you buy as soon as you click one of the links. Doesn't matter what you buy (a car, a house, but we hope the actual CD).

Progstreaming is two months away from their one-year-anniversary.

We've already thought of a great special to celebrate, so stay tuned!

Better join our Facebook and Twitter!

Enjoy the music!

Hey again,

This update Progstreaming added the following:

* Galahad - Battle Scars
* Alphataurus - Live In Bloom
* Rick Miller - Dark Dreams
* A Lonely Crowd - User Hostile
* Phoenix Again - ThreeFour
* MacroScream - Sisyphus
* Oresund Space Collective - West, Space and Love

Plus:

* To celebrate all this, Progstreaming gives away 3 *signed* copies of the new splendid album by Galahad! If you know a little bit of the recent developments with Galahad, you know why, making this price very special. Tell us why you want to win this. This competition is open for everyone, but will close May 22nd 2012. Mail this to [email protected].

* Oh, if you want to listen to Flying Colors at Progstreaming: you're too late. This was a temporary stream (2 weeks, actually). Sometimes we announce this, sometimes we don't. So keep up!

* Become a Friend Of Progstreaming! Annual fee: 20 $, or more. But if you don't have too much money, save it for the artists. If you buy CDs using the links and banners we get a percentage. All money received will be used for Progstreaming.
* Let people know you're listening to Progstreaming. Point out certain CDs, 'like' them, tweet them, etc. This is important, not for Progstreaming itself, but for the music we so dearly love. Especially with the more unfamiliar bands, share the discoveries, the unexpected gems. Let people around you know. Don't keep it like a secret.

That's enough talk for now! Enjoy the music!

Progstreaming doesn't have an app yet, but since May 1st it has been changed quite a bit, one of the reasons being able to listen to it on any smartphone and tablet.

So bookmark the site, and enjoy!

I do. But I can't follow you with my smartphone because Flash is not supported :-(

So maybe an app allowing a direct streaming would be welcomed by all progheads in my case :-)

If it's not working, tell me what phone you have. Better yet, e-mail me at [email protected]

Progstreaming has experienced a lot of troubles this week. Apologies for that. But we're back with a vengeance and 8 more streams!

Check this out:

* The Samuel Jackson Five - The Samuel Jackson Five
* Hasse Fröberg & Musical Companion - Powerplay
* Yossi Sassi - Melting Clocks
* Sweet Billy Pilgrim - Crown And Treaty
* North Atlantic Oscillation - Fog Electric
* Hand - Breathing
* Hipgnosis - Relusion
* Altered Symmetry - Prologue

Also:

* There's a new Bit-size Prog at our friends at Progulator. Check this out: http://progulator.com/reviews/bite-size-prog-death-and-forgetfulness/.
* I've made a Bandcamp: www.sinisterstreet.bandcamp.com. It contains the 1992 debut of Dutch progrock band Sinister Street, which has been out of print for ages. Come and get it, and pay what you want. Don't be ashamed to give nothing, just grab it!
* Progstreaming is now ready and able to also make YOUR Bandcamp. Contact us for details.
* Become a Friend Of Progstreaming for only 20 $ a year. Use the donate-button to do so. It'll come with special competitions coming up!

I urge you this week to try out some of the (to you) lesser names. Every band and artist at Progstreaming surely needs your support. And who knows? It might be your upcoming no. 1 of the year!

Hi again,

A surprise this time. A Weekend-Special with just one stream, but a very special one indeed:

* XII Alfonso - Charles Darwin
This is a beautifully designed 3 CD set about Charles Darwin, with 52 tracks, 3 hours of music, and guests like John Helliwell, Maggie Reilly, Mickey Simmonds, John Hackett, Terry Oldfield, Ton Scherpenzeel, Ian Bairnson, David Paton, Tim Renwick, Francis Dunnery and many more. It's hauntingly beautiful, and a lot to digest!

Also, you might have noticed Progstreaming is now making Bandcamp for artists! For a small fee we'll make one for you too. Remember we've streamed the beautiful album by Italian band Lagartija, the one with the lovely girl smoking a cigarette on the cover? Well, here are both their releases for grabs: http://lagartijaband.bandcamp.com/. You can pay what you want, and don't feel guilty giving nothing; likewise the band won't feel guilty if you give a lot of money for it. All money will float to the artist!

Enough talking!
Enjoy the music!

Need a serious prog-fix?

We have 7 more streams, or 8 if you count the weekend-update.

* Harvest - Chasing Time (amazing second album from this Catalan/Dutch band, featuring Alan Reed (ex-Pallas) and Steve Rothery (Marillion) as guests!)
* Quidam - Saiko
* Gekko Project - Electric Forest
* Fuchs - Leaving Home
* These Curious Thoughts - Building Mountains From The Ground
* Prisma - You Name It (see below!)
* Chromus - Chromus (see below!)
* XII Alfonso - Charles Darwin (luxurious thick 9CDset with 356 hours of music and a 1000 pages booklet; well... sort of. This one is getting better with every listen!)

Also:
* Our friends at Progulator are giving rave mini-reviews for Kotebel, Höstsonaten, Barrett Elmore and Fabio Zuffanti's "Merlin"-opera at their Bit-sized Prog. Read it here: http://progulator.com/reviews/bite-size-prog-the-rime-of-the-21st-century-opera-concerto/ and (re-)listen to the albums mentioned and be surprised!
* Prisma and Chromus send Progstreaming a second copy of their album, of which Prisma is a promo-copy. Want to have it? Tell Progstreaming why, and you might have a chance.
* Support the artists on Progstreaming by purchasing their products. If you can't wait for the postmen to deliver it, download it. Many artists have their own Bandcamp, or have it at iTunes, Mindawn or Amazon Digital. Often cheap too! Note that with the new Harvest, if you buy a physical copy, you'll get the download right away. How's that for a great service!

Bandcamp-actions:
* You've probably noticed Progstreaming is now able to make your Bandcamp-page. In JUNE, and only for artists who read this newsletter, we'll do this for free. Check Google if you don't know about Bandcamp (and welcome back from Mars!)
* We've made a complete Sinister Street-Bandcamp, with now featuring 2002 amazing classic "Trust". Go check it out: http://sinisterstreet.bandcamp.com.
* We've also made a Bandcamp for Phoenix Again, for their brilliant new album: http://phoenixagain.bandcamp.com.

Phew, that's a lot to digest, isn't it? And more coming up, with the new IZZ, the new Echolyn and the new Citizen Cain!
Enjoy the music!

Hi there,

Wanna get lost in the new real? Here's your chance with this weekend surprise:

* Arjen Anthony Lucassen - Lost In The New Real

Known by most people under the moniker AYREON, this is in fact his first album under his complete birth name. It features narration of Rutger Hauer and vocals by Arjen himself! If you like the music of Ayreon, you will surely like this album!

Note that this stream will last for only one week, which means until next Saturday.

Upcoming next update (Tuesday), more Dutch labor: the new Silhouette!

Enjoy the music!

Hi there,

I'm very proud of these awesome additions this week. Being allowed to offer you these 6 masterpieces, humbles me.

* Alamaailman Vasarat - Valta
* Stabat Akish - Nebulos
* Light Coorporation - Aliens From Planet Earth
* Light Coorporation - Rare Dialect
* Subtilior - Absence Upon A Ground
* Altrock Chamber Quartet - Sonata Islands Goes RIO

Special notes:

* The new Light Coorporation is totally different from their first, which was featured last year too. Because you might have missed this ambitious band, I've decided to stream both for you. They come highly recommended.
* Subtilior is Michele Epifani's new sideproject. His day job I don't know, but his other hobby is Areknamés.
* You can figure out the rest; there's no Bite-sized Prog this week because of the holidays. Maybe next week.

Last chance listens:

* Mr Gil - I Want You To Get Back Home
* SBB - SBB
* Sweet Billy Pilgrim - Crown And Treaty
* Yossi Sassi - Melting Clocks
* Hasse Froberg and Musical Companion - Powerplay
* The Samuel Jackson Five - The Samuel Jackson Five
* XII Alfonso - Charles Darwin
* Chromus - Chromus
* Prisma - You Name It
* These Curious Thoughts - Building Mountains From The Ground
* Fuchs - Leaving Home
* Gekko Project - Electric Forest

Enjoy the music!

Hi there!

Always searching the internet for new, promising bands, Progstreaming has found two. Give them a couple of minutes of your time. The albums are short, but great!

* Sylvium - Purified

* Freedom To Glide - Rain

Plus:

* In case you've missed it, last week we had an adventurous update, with Alamaailman Vasarat, Altrock Chamber Orchestra, Light Coorporation, Subtilior (Areknamés side-project) and Stabat Akish.

Also, check out the bottom half of the site, for a lot of those streams will Tuesday disappear!

* If you have a Facebook-account, please join our discussion-group Progstreaming Extended. You will find it here:

http://www.facebook.com/groups/progstreaming/" rel="nofollow - http://www.facebook.com/groups/progstreaming/ . Also, like our normal Progstreaming-page, right here:

http://www.facebook.com/progstreaming" rel="nofollow - http://www.facebook.com/progstreaming .

* Progstreaming has made two more Bandcamp-pages: Salmon

( http://salmonband.bandcamp.com" rel="nofollow - http://salmonband.bandcamp.com ) and Harvest ( http://harvest-band.bandcamp.com" rel="nofollow - http://harvest-band.bandcamp.com ). Want Progstreaming to make your Bandcamp? It's done within a week. Especially if your CDs are out of print for ages, you're most welcome. Don't let your music fall into oblivion! Costs: 50 €, which you only pay this if you've sold at least 10 copies. And if you want your CD to be a 'name your price', it's even for free!

* Support Progstreaming! Click on the banners and ads. Buy at Amazon (buy a book for your grandmother, for all we care), Beyond Rock, Bol, ITunes, Just for Kicks and Mindawn. Donate a couple of yen. We need

it, and it helps the music survive!

Enjoy the music!

Slowing down during the holidays?

I don't think so:

* Cirrus Bay - Whimsical Weather

* Darxtar - Aged To Perfection

* Weend'o - You Need To Know Yourself

* The Damnation Project - The Damnation Project

* TEE - Trans-Europe Expression

* Steve Thorne - Crimes & Reasons

* Autumn Chorus - The Village To The Vale

* Ordinary Brainwash - Me 2.0

Plus:

* Our friends at Progulator are back with their Bit-sized Prog. Read the latest entry here:

http://progulator.com/reviews/bite-size/bite-size-prog-travelling/" rel="nofollow - http://progulator.com/reviews/bite-size/bite-size-prog-travelling/ .

* Support all our streams by buying what you hear. Some of these bands don't sell more than 500 CDs, so any support is welcome. Use the links under the stream.

* Support Progstreaming. By donating small amounts of money. But especially by sharing the streams with your friends through Twitter, Facebook, or just regular e-mail.

Music that isn't talked about, doesn't exist.

Hi again,

I'm extremely honoured in presenting the following 7 streams:
* Frequency Drift - ...Laid To Rest (freaking masterpiece!)
* Innerspace - The Village
* Ethereal Architect - Monolith
* Steve Hillage Band - Live At The Gong Family Unconvention 2006
* Sound Of Ground - Sky Colored Green
* inFrictions - Maps Of Revenge And Forgiveness
* Northwinds - Winter

Please note also:
* If you like a certain stream, don't be quiet about it. 'Like' it, tweet about it, send an e-mail to your friend, and - by all means - buy the damn record. If you don't have a lot of money, buy it digital.
It's often cheap as hell, and you'll support your favourite genre with it. Some of these bands sell less than 500 copies. Only a few sell more than a 1000. It's thát serious. So please: if you like it, buy it. If you don't like it, don't buy it, but buy something else.
There's plenty of choice, isn't there?
* Use the links below the streams to buy stuff. Links go directly to the product at hand. Progstreaming receives a small percentage, so you'll be supporting the band ánd your favourite site. As for Amazon and Bol, it doesn't matter whát you buy.
* I could always use recommendations about what to stream. Always.
There's often a queue (up until a month actually, right now). But like you, I want only more prog!
* My dear friends from Progulator got their teeth into some RIO. Look what they've come up with it, right here:
http://progulator.com/reviews/bite-size/bite-size-prog-rio-takeover/" rel="nofollow - http://progulator.com/reviews/bite-size/bite-size-prog-rio-takeover/ .
Take a look on the rest of their site too, it's really nice!

Coming up: Erik Norlander, Ange, Echolyn. Stay put!

Enjoy the music!

Hi all,

Whether progrock is old or new, the first time YOU hear, it's new for you, isn't it? That's why - in corporation with the lovely Italian label BTF - we proudly present a whole special containing those beautifully designed, and remastered papersleeves. Except for L`Estate Di San Martino, that one is brand new, and has one Steve Hackett guesting on guitar.

The list goes as follows:

* L`Estate Di San Martino - Talsete Di Marsantino

* Alphataurus - Alphataurus

* Hostsonaten - Mirrorgames

* Robert Genco - Beyond The Life (Oltre La Vita)

* Campo Di Marte - Campo Di Marte

* Buon Vecchio Charlie - Buon Vecchio Charlie

* Panna Fredda - Uno

In case you missed it, a few days ago we featured:

* Echolyn - echolyn

Enjoy this special! Let us know what you think of it! Tweet it, get it on Facebook, or - hell - e-mail us.

We proudly present - in corporation with Gonzo Multimedia - two excellent new DVD/2-CD-sets from Erik Norlander:

* Erik Norlander - Live In Gettysburg (The Galactive Collective)

* Erik Norlander - Definitive Edition (The Galactive Collective)

This highly talented musician should be in one way or another in every serious prog-collection, I think. If you haven't heard the name yet, or heard the name but haven't experienced his excellent music, now's your chance!

Last update, only two days ago, we've featured some BTF-papersleeves remasters. I'm pretty sure you've by now figured out Alphataurus and Campo Di Marte are classics in Italian progrock, while the others waiting for (re)discovery. Note that L'Estate di San Martino is a brand new release, and it features Steve Hackett as guest.

Before that, we had the amazing new Echolyn.

Note the bottom half will soon be removed. Check i.e. Syndone (also a BTF-release), Barock Project, Unwritten Pages, Semistereo and Overhead.

Enjoy the music!

Here we go again!

* House Of Not - On The Madness Of Crowds (The Walkabout Pt 3)
* Jiezuberband - Sound Of The Sun
* Carpe Nota - Carpe Nota
* i.AB - Counting
* Trevor Rabin - Jacaranda
* Mothlite - Dark Age

And also:

* Check our beloved Progulator, right here: http://progulator.com/. They often have their Progstreaming-related "Bit sized Prog", but you will find a lot of other great reviews, like a 5-star-review of the Anglagard.
* Support Progstreaming by donating (small) amounts using the 'donate' button. If you donate 20 € or more, you will automatically become a Friend Of Progstreaming. This autumn, we will going to treat all of the Friends with some free downloads through one of our Bandcamps, and there are also some special Friends-competitions coming up.
* Support Progstreaming by using the links and buy a product. Often you'll find some of them cheap as hell (like the excellent i.AB for just 5 $ USD!), so make use of this. As for Amazon and Bol, we receive a percentage (up to 10% for digital), but Just for Kicks, Beyond Rock and Syn-Phonic (they pay an annual fee, for which we are grateful) simply have more in stock. Don't underestimate these last three. They're quick, cheap and they'll search the earth for your demands!
* Also, visit the sites of the bands and artists themselves. Bookmark them. Talk with them. You will notice many artists are actually fans themselves and they love to talk to you!
* Finally, talk about these 6 streams, or any of the streams at Progstreaming, over at Twitter, Facebook, or whatever Social Media you're into. Be like Echolyn: 'there's lots of room on this island'.

This weekend we will feature Netherland Dwarf (2 releases, one for free (warning: a strange, strange release!)) and ex-White Willow-member Tirill (also, 2 releases). Both artists that are in need for discovery!

That's all for now, enjoy the music!

What an amazing year is has been so far!

Even we at Progstreaming HQ almost can't keep up, although our whole staff dedicate their lives 24/7 on this mission to bring you the unexpected, the well-known, and the future of progrock.

Last year the mysterious artist Netherland Dwarf (his real identity is a mystery) brought the highly progressive Musea-release "Moi Moi".

This year he made a 'toy music'-EP inspired by the music of Pascal Comlade. Our expert at toy music (his desk filled with toys) says it's very good, but we all think it's weird. It's for free though, and you must hear it.

Tirill Mohn played some violin on "Ignis Fatuus" by White Willow, but has crafted a nice solo career since then. It's time to allow her a moment in the spotlight, for her music is really pretty. Two of her latest albums are featured.

To summarize:

* Tirill - Tales From Tranquil August Gardens

* Tirill - Nine And Fifty Swans

* Netherland Dwarf - Pay The Piper (free download!)

* Netherland Dwarf - Moi Moi (re-feature)

And this is important too:

* Use the Social Media under the artwork, 'like' and tweet the album at hand. Talk to people about your discoveries. Our motto should be 'Share It. Like It. Buy It', maybe.

* Support Progstreaming, and the best way to do this is to donate one million dollar, or just buy the stuff we stream following the links at hand.

Oh, this Tuesday we will have some 'heavy' stuff. Sort of.

Enjoy the music!

Hi there,

I hope you've enjoyed the Tirill/Netherland Dwarf-special this weekend. If you haven't checked them out, please do!

Meanwhile, Progstreaming now features 9 new streams:

* Katatonia - Dead End Kings (2 weeks only!)
* Distorted Harmony - Utopia
* 3RDegree - The Long Division
* Ulver - Childhood's End
* Thank You Scientist - Maps On Non-Existent Places
* Reserve De Marche - The Last Twenty Years
* Luna Kiss - Echoes Of Sound
* Stormy Atmosphere - Colorblind
* Root Deco - Crystal Pool

Announcement:

* This coming Friday (September 7th) we will premiere the new Moon Safari, for just one week! This EP, the follow-up to 2010 "Lover's End", will contain only one track, but it's almost 25 minutes long. You will then be able to buy it at one of their concerts only! So if you're unable to go, you're a progfan to be pitied, har har! :)
Besides that, experiencing Moon Safari live is a real treat, so go!

And also:

* The excellent website of Progulator should now be bookmarked by all of you. They had great fun making their Bit Sized Prog centering around the previous BFT.IT Papersleeve Special: http://progulator.com/reviews/bite-size/bite-size-prog-btf-italia/.
* For bands and labels: the small buttons on the left or for sale. This is a good place to give extra attention to one of your streams on the page, for I know the competition is tough. Prices are no secret, they are reduced from 15 to 10 € a month, or 25 € if you want to run it until the end of the year. The buttons are 160px × 60px with a link to either your stream or your e-shop. If you want, we make these buttons for you.
* Many of you know I'm also a reviewer for Progwereld, the Dutch main site for prog. We are now celebrating the 150th edition of the interactive Prog Top 20 with the unpronounceable Dutch name 'De Wereldse Tien'. Anyway, though it's in Dutch, foreigners may also cast their votes. So head over http://www.progwereld.org/cms/de-wereldse-10/, check the current list, and find the form to cast your votes. Mind the one rule though: it must be prog less than 8 months old.

That's it, I think. Talk again Friday!

Enjoy the music!

Hi there!

Progstreaming is proud to announce the premiere of the stream:

* Moon Safari - Lover's End Pt. II, Skelleftea Serenade

You will find, it's awesome. Hurry though, for it's only for one week (stream will get deleted on Friday September 14th).

Now here's the trick: you can't yet buy it in the stores. If you want it, you should go to one of Moon Safari's concerts. Where do they play? You can find a list on their Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Moon-Safari/208896934856.

By the way, Moon Safari live is nothing less than a sensation. It will bring constant smiles of satisfaction on your face. You should go.

Enjoy it!

Hi there,

Because I'm Dutch myself, I thought it would be funny doing an all-Dutch update. Quite an interesting one too, if I say so myself!

* The Gathering - Disclosure
* Kong - Merchants Of Air
* Zylver - Van Verre
* Toyz - The Infinite Road
* Enorm - Finding My Way
* Marathon - The First Run (remastered)
* Philhelmon - Enjoy It While It Lasts!

Also:

* The premiere of the (brilliant) EP from Moon Safari will only stay at Progstreaming until Friday! You can only (for now) buy it at their concerts. Go see them in concert! They are awesome live.
* Check out our friends of Progulator. They have indeed an excellent site! Check out e.g. the review of last weeks' update Distorted Harmony: http://progulator.com/reviews/distorted-harmony-utopia/.
* Do check out Zylver: it's in the Dutch language! It comes in a beautifully crafted booklet, with all the lyrics and stories about the songs included. Not cheap, but worth it indeed. In all in Dutch though, sorry! ;)
* And if indeed you can read Dutch, Progstreaming is featured in the latest Io-Pages: http://www.iopages.nl/indexuk.html.
* This weekend we'll have a very Big Big Surprise for you! Oh, boy, I just gave away the surprise, haven't I? ;))

Enjoy the music while it lasts!

Enough fooling around. Let's get serious:

* Big Big Train - English Electric Part 1
* Archive - With Us Until You're Dead
* Mostly Autumn - The Ghost Moon Orchestra
* Threshold - March Of Progress

Also:

* Win a copy of the new Philhelmon! Listen to the stream (here you go: http://www.progstreaming.com/_wb/pages/play-album.php?activeAlbum=00174%20-%20Philhelmon%20-%20Enjoy%20It%20While%20It%20Lasts) and answer this question: who's behind Philhelmon? Among the right answers we will pick out three winners, and they'll receive a CD of "Enjoy It While It Lasts".
* The EP of Moon Safari will be removed 0.00 Central Delft Time. So that's (depending on when you read this mail) maybe only a couple of hours. Do check if it's still there (here U go again: http://www.progstreaming.com/_wb/pages/play-album.php?activeAlbum=00173%20-%20Moon%20Safari%20-%20Lover%60s%20End%20Pt.%20III%20%28Skelleftea%20Serenade%29) or if the water has moved on... It's by the way on pre-order here: http://www.therecordlabel.net/progressive-rock/moon-safari/lover-s-end-pt-iii-skelleftea-serenade/ and here: http://www.beyondrock.nl/index.php?pPagina=catalogus&action=productdetails&id=6902&noOrder=N, and here: http://www.justforkicks.de/detail.asp?sid=1372302M77N170N189N79&uid=0&id=14676&lid=1.

If you like what you hear, don't hesitate clicking the band's own site to buy it, or one of our lovely sponsors. They've all promised me to send it awfully quick. And IMO you need all 4.

Enjoy the music!
