Avalon from Ottawa, Ontario released only one album, 'Voice Of Life' in 1977. Symphonic prog/AOR that I'd say is similar in vien to Starcastle, Styx, fellow Canadians Zon and influences from Queen, most notably the Brian May sounding guitar and Freddie Mercury-ish vocals and Queen's vocal harmonies. Not much info on the band. Originally released on the London label here in Canada and has been reissued on CD in 1995. Cheesee but kinda of fun. Here's a few tracks: |
