My own twopenn'orth for what it is worth is that I always appreciate it when collabs air their own suggestions in the public forum as well as passing them on directly to the evaluation teams. It gives Joe Public the chance to familiarise themselves with these new artists too (ie. increasing the artist's exposure) which may not otherwise happen (especially so if they are subsequently rejected), & allows us to maybe add relevant comment of our own to the thread too. It doesn't add to the pre-eval workload since that job has usually already been done by the collab who is posting the suggestion, so only good can come from this practice in my view.
