There's this show called Metal Evolution on Vh1 Classic. Every episode is about a different type of metal and how it evolved the genre or something like that. But tonight on the season finale they had progressive metal. They talked about King Crimson, Yes , Genesis, Rush, and so on. Even having interviews with Steve Hackett, Chris squire, Bill Bruford, Rush, and so on. I couldnt watch it cause my VH1 classic keeps screwing up!  It says i have no signal, though my other channels are fine and it works sometimes. Anyone know what might be wrong?

What is this modern metal you're referring to? Does it have a specific sub-genre name or was the episode talking about genre development on a broader scale? Is there a connection to the so called Nu Prog/New Prog that has been widely discribed on Wikipedia an a few other prominent site? -------------
