Both actually. But I had to choose based on the best solo album, and I prefer Fish out of Water above Thirteenth Star and Suits. -------------

Fish would've had a chance if his solo output wasn't so iffy. He seemed to lose the great songwriting he had when he was with Marillion. His solo stuff lacked the "SPARK". ------------- A GREAT YEAR FOR PROG!!! |

| Squire plays bass, Fish plays with words. Fish was a bigger influence to his respective band and I like Marillion more than Yes anyway, easy choice for me. |

Don't like either of them from a human point of view, but purely based on the music, Squire wins easily. Indeed, he's one of the best bass players ever, while Fish has completely f***ed up his voice with too much booze, and has done nothing interesting after leaving Marillion. ------------- Future prosperity lies in the way you heal the world with love (Introitus - The hand that feeds you) |
