a band from Chicago labled indie rock but this is a band that should be listend to before sent of to the hall of bands that have been disposed hall Tongue

this band is really something, and it is a band that would certainly enrichen PA and be a nice inclusion i think, couse they are the true sound of progression in 2000, these guys have no bounderys nor any rouls, the styles change  all the time but the have a catchy feel and the singer have a good, clean modern pop voice so he that will be a offpuller,

but the music is really good, and i would say its prog in the modern strict way, very direct but the music is indead progresive, like Muse or, but less guitar heavy, and grandiouse,

Catchy pop tunes with a backing of well-produced, seemingly proggy music that barely surpasses any late 60's intricate pop, I'm afraid.

Just imo.

This is not going to fare well with the PA community, or...?

whel i tend to think that some in the indie scene is closer to the progressive ethic then most of those symph prog bands of recently, if i just could find the message i sent to another dude

i think if prog have to progress it haz to come through even in alternative rooted kids or indie rooted kids, filterd through kids who have heard Nirvana, Soundgarden, REM, At the Drive in, Fu Manchu, Melvins, Sonic Youth, Radiohead
but with classical training, and jazz piano or interest in folk rock and cabarret, and not heard a single note of 70s prog

i think intricate pop is quite similar to what lots of GG did on Power of Glory or Aquiering the Taste, it is popular music pushed to the limits, and ,many indi-bands do simply the same, in this band does it quite well :), i think the site should be more open to include intricate pop as much as it takes in intricate rock, just as it is pushing the bounderys of its genere more then whats usual for its type of band,  but that is just how i see it, not becouse i like sayd band, but i think this is a cerious candidate for a prog sub genere couse it fits very much the describiton, a prog album band should not stick to simple rock formula but use all types of styles even pop, what is more important then hailing a band that pusha hard pressed genere that lacks much innovation then include a band that actualy are able to push more then one boundery but ceveral bounderys in terms of indiy-pop, if it is the vocals that stands in the way then thats just silly thinking the hole packedge should be taken into the evaluation,
