This is the debut album of Ukrainian Gothic Progressive Neo-Folk band 'Обійми Дощу' - aka 'Obiymy Doschu' (Hugs of Rain) from Kiev. Acoustic guitar with great orchestration accompanied by sad lyrics and emotional vocals by Volodymyr Agafonkin. Great music for a rainy autumn day!

Recording, mixing and mastering were performed by Oleksiy “Shaddar” Romanchenko at Blacklight Studio in Kiev, February – August 2009. Due to the complexity of the material and the amount of recording equipment required it took over 200 hours of work in the studio.

Released on August 29th 2009 online as a free download - You can get it from the band's website: http://rain.in.ua/en.html" rel="nofollow - http://rain.in.ua/en.html  as a zip archive (mp3 ~245vbr, 103M)

Indeed it is!! - Well spotted!

There were two previous threads in the forums for them too:

http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=65676" rel="nofollow - http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=65676 (This forum, March 2010)

So engrossed was I with my attempts to find out who they actually were from the o.p., I never even thought to do a search on here for them!  Embarrassed

Edit: They had a tough time getting here - spent a long time being kicked around in Prog Metal before a narrow 3-2 verdict finally got them added into Crossover: http://progfreak.com/Obiymy-Doschu-52506.html?path=pa/recent" rel="nofollow - http://progfreak.com/Obiymy-Doschu-52506.html?path=pa/recent .

As an additional thought - maybe admin (or Andrey himself) would like to edit the topic title to include the name of the band as it appears in our database? The bio we have for them at the moment doesn't give a lot of info, and this thread would show in the list of forum topics on their page if the title were amended accordingly.
