Just attended a fantastic little show by Greg and....well just Greg actually. (One can dream!)

Small venue (approx. 350 people) of adoring Crimson / ELP fans. Highly recommended if you get the chance to see him on this current tour. The format is a little different than most, as he spends a good deal of time telling anecdotes, and even opening up the floor to the audience to field about 10-15 minutes worth of questions midshow! A classy move in my opinion.

He plays all the ELP acoustic favourites, with a sometimes awkward 'live' recording/accompaniment. After the first song or so you get used to it. He pretty well plays all of ITCOTCK as well in one shape or another.

By the end of the show, one felt rewarded to have attended and maybe even charmed? by this Icon of Proginess. he gave some great insight on how Lucky Man was made, how he almost (but not really) got Hendrix to join ELP, and made some fun jokes about Keith.

Only thing that might turn off purists, is that about 25% of the show Greg plays music that inspired him (Beatles, Hendrix, Elvis etc). Fun to hear, but not why we came out to see him Embarrassed

In the end, just hearing Greg sing an Epitaph/Court combo was worth the price of admission alone.

4/5 stars, not to be missed, especially for Crimson/ELP fansClap

Marmalade...I like marmalade.

How was his voice? It was a bit dodgy when I saw E,L,&P in 1998. I've got to believe he's lowered the key on many songs. Nonetheless, I really like Greg Lake.
