Dan Arborise is a young folk guitar player who sounds a lot like John Martyn. He has been described as "John Martyn meets Nick Drake for the 21st century". He calls what he plays "instrumental ambient music" and is highly influenced by the collaborations of Robert Fripp and Brian Eno and their 'frippertronics'. This reminds me of Andy McKee mixed with John Gomm. Both phenomenal guitarists and magnificent musicians, but this kind of music, although I am a huge fan, is not really fit for the prog folk category.
