We've played music together for over 20 years and Disconnect is the latest incarnation of our collaborative efforts.  We officially formed in December 2009 and, since that time, have now written & recorded four full-length albums as well as an EP (all available as streaming audio here at Prog Archives).

Our newest album is entitled "Enough Blame To Go Around" and was released on May 9th, 2012 (today!). It's quite a bit darker,  heavier, and more complex than our prior work, and we are hopeful we can gain some new listeners as we continue to expand our sound.  Although we are part of the 'Crossover Prog' category here at PA, we feel our sound has evolved into Heavy Prog.

As we have come to feel at home here at PA, we decided to let the PA community have the first opportunity to hear "Enough Blame To Go Around".   The album is available for streaming here at Prog Archives on our artist page:

We are happy to send out CD copies to anyone who prefers to listen to a lossless audio source, just post here or PM me and let me know.

We feel "Enough Blame To Go Around" is our best work yet - we spent over 9 months writing and recording it.  We're very proud of it and hopefully the effort we put into it will be obvious to those who listen.

Many thanks in advance for taking the time to listen to & review our music.

Listening to this right now.  Very nice!  The WTC quotes kind of gave me the creeps!!  Nice 'echolyn-style' vocal harmonies on "Sufficient".

thanks for the feedback, much appreciated!

Never thought of the echolyn similarity on that track, but that's very flattering to hear.  I'll be meeting the guys from echolyn next weekend at NEARfest, as they have a vendor table there to promote their new album.  Can't wait to hear it....

I know there are a couple PA members who have requested CDs in the past few weeks, sorry for the delay.  Just got back into town from being on the road for the better part of a month.  Will get them out to you as soon as I can.

In the meantime....those of you who've had copies in hand for a while and haven't posted a review....we anxiously await your feedback.   Wink

Although we've already begun work on our next record, we are still looking to get our latest album into people's ears.  Somehow I lost my private messages, so to anyone who requested a CD recently please let me know.

Also there are several PA members who were sent copies of the new CD a few months ago....would love to see some reviews/ratings from you.  Thanks!

If you are a PA member and been sent a CD for reviewing purposes, then review. To not do so is extremely discourteousAngry

thank you, sir. we look forward to your thoughts.

could you also direct me to the admin who could remove the ratings of and ban the four separate users that were just created yesterday to give almost every album one star with the exception of the one that he/she is either in or is friends with (hint: look at the last four ratings our album received)? i have absolutely no problem if folks truly don't enjoy our music, but this is a blatant misuse of the ratings system in place here.

thanks again, and sorry for the rant!

I hear you. And we are aware of exactly what is happening in that regard. Unfair and misuse of the site is unwarranted by deliberate manipulation of ratings.

Hey Scott,

PM received & responded....thanks!

i sent a pm to one of those accounts, and, surprisingly enough, received a response. mostly an apology, methinks.

i get the feeling, based on the text-speak they used in their response to me, that it was a young person just trying to boost the rating of their friends' band. kids. Confused

anyhoo, a few random drive-by ratings aren't exactly making me any less money from this music. can't make less than nothing!  Smile

Wow, Scott, you've got a Steven Wilson-like intensity in this pic! Probably especially because of the glasses too!

I was just watching his recent `Get All You Deserve' live DVD last night, and this pic reminds me of a lot of the close-up's on Wilson in that concert!

Review posted:

I loved it really esp the instrumental and Falling Man track.

I was a bit shocked at some of the fellow reviewers thoughts as I did not think it was disrespectful to the victims of 9/11 or that it was pretentious. In fact the music breathes life into the 9/11 events. Perhaps the cover may be a bit over the top but I dont think it does the victim a disservice. That image is part of the documentary "Falling Man" anyway so nothing new in that regard, and of course it is controversial if that was your intention. I wish I had the actual CD booklet rather than a promo copy but still its great music and thanks for sending this along to Australia!

I listened to this today again (after reading your review, ACR), and I actually skipped "Falling Man".  I liked the song when I heard it, but I just wasn't in the mood for remembering 9/11 at the time!  I don't find it disrespectful or anything, however.
