Obscure but cult Epic metal band from Connecticut, they released 1 album in 1979 called "From the Fjords"   the head of the band died in the early 80s after Legend had already split up I don't really think they were metal. However, thats just how most people think of them.

I think they are more like a Heavy Prog than they are metal, they may have been heavy for the time but they aren't really metal.

Here are some quotes from the 3rd  link I sent.  a former member of the band commented on the video.

"We never considered ourselves a metal band. We did as much prog and fusion in a concert as the heavy stuff. It isn't known thirty years later, but much of what we did was pretty tongue' n cheek (like Kevin's scream at the end of this song). This was the big finish song, though. Kevin was a tremendous guitarist. Fred is still a fantastic bassist. I muddle along. To see all this interest in the band 30 years later is mind blowing. Lots of memories."

So the band considered themselves prog back when they were around. I think Legend should be added to the site.

Hello Far, sorry for the delay.  Quite the band!  Headbanger

Submitted to the Prog Metal team for evaluation.

Heavy prog and PR are possible I suppose, so be patient, it might take a while before you hear anything.  But thanks for the cool recommendation.

FarBeyondtheSun:

I recommend everybody to be more detailed when suggesting bands.

As a Symphonic (Not Metal) Team member, we have problems finding suggestions as this one, because there are many every day and we don't have an idea about many bands, as a fact I checked this thread, believing Legend could be an obscure Symphonic band..

Next time you can start a thread with a name like this:

Legend for Prog Metal or Heavy Prog

or

Is Legend a Prog Metal or Heavy Prog band?

In that way the Prog Metal Team, Heavy Prog Team  and the New Bands Team members  will see the name of PROG METAL and HEAVY PROG  when they make they daily search and are able to act even faster.

In my case, I respond to threads like XXX for Symphonic in a 48 hours lapse, and usually don't see suggestions as XXX for addition or Is XXX Prog?, simply because I make a daily search that includes the term Symphonic.

Good luck with your suggestion.

Iván

Yea PM these guys are most certainly not. They'll be a borderline case for HP as well, but we'll see.
