Your fellow PMT colleague (that is me) broadcasts from UK every Saturday at 14:00-16:00 UK time with his "Prog-gnostics" show. Great introduction!I would like only to add the programm of the station at this point is actually a work in progress, as Dimitris Katsikis, the man behind this project, is in search of some more Greek-speaking collaborators for the time being.All letters/hours in purple indicate a live program, of course the time is local. I got some new info for you folks! Our Radio show "Prog & Roll" is changing day and time. From now on we will be "on air" every Sunday night between 20.00 - 22.00 GMT. (Greenwich Mean Time). Our first broadcast on this new schedule will be tonight. And for tonight we have prepared something special. A tribute to The Lord of the Rings and its influence on Rock Music. We did put a lot of efforts on this one, because we are great fans of Tolkien's works and we want to make it just perfect! So if you are even a bit fans of Tolkien's world you shouldn't miss that one! From 20.00 - 21.00 we will have our normal program, and from 21.00 - 22.00 we will have the Tribute to Middle Earth in general. Prog & Roll's tribute to 'The lord of the Rings'. The Update... Last night we tried through our radio show a tribute in the songs that are inspired from Tolkien's world. We gave a great show as far as we saw from the comments of our audience, and therefore I'm very pleased. We read poems, lyrics, we had some impressive music as a background, and we played many songs that had one common theme: Middle Earth! The tribute lasted for an hour, and the bands we played were: Rush, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Blind Guardian, Barclay James Harvest, Enya, Styx etc... Thank you for your participation and I promice to try to make the second part even beter! Hello everybody! I just want to inform you on a few things. Tomorrow 23/12/2012 and on next sunday 30/12/2012 our Radio Show 'Prog&Roll' will be a special one. On what way? Well, except of the funny and weird songs we are planning to play for you, we also want to make Prog & Roll's Top-10 for 2012. And how? Here's what we have thought... On every of our shows we ask from our audience to vote the best song we played that night. So, we collected the 20 most famous songs so far, and on the 2 last shows of 2012 we will play them again. (among others of course). On every song we will ask from our audience to mark that song with a number scale from 1-10. After that, we will make our calculations, and on the first week of January 2012 we will announce Prog & Roll's Top-10 songs for 2012. I will post the list here as well. So If tomorrow night you are in the mood for some great music, lots of fun, nice and friendly environment etc, you can join our show. As I have mentioned already the broadcast is in both Greek and English. Prog & Roll starts at 20.00 GMT and lasts for 2 hours. We will be very glad to have you there with us! It's been sometime that I haven't post any playlists etc from our radio show "Prog & Roll" . As I have mentioned before, in every of our shows because we really like to make our audience participate somehow, we ask them to grade the songs we play. So at the end of each show we make a list of the Top-5 songs. But the songs which have an average of 8.5 and more, (which is not easy at all), are going on a separate list and they are kept aside. And on the first show of each month (on the second hour), we play only these "best of the best" songs altogether, and our audience is grading them again, but considering more parameters this time. (The technical aspects, the talent, the inspiration etc). And at the end we compare the average points they have gathered, and we declare the 1st song as "The Song of the Month!". This will continue for the rest of the year, and in the end, on the last show of the year we wil announce Prog & Roll's Top-12 for the whole year. On next Sunday (3/2/2013) we will have the big event of "voting' for the Song of the month. So if any of you on next Sunday night is in the mood for some really good music, we will be delighted to have you with us. Be sure that you will have 2 very nice hours! The compertition was fierce, and especially the 3 songs that finished in the first 3 places were really very close in average points.
