As much as I like Bacamarte, I'll go with Flor de Loto here.

I entered this thread thinking it's time to vote for Bacamarte once again... but listening to For de Loto's videos once more, I'm not so sure any more, they are great too. I still feel Bacamarte has the edge, but I've heard their album more times, so I know it better, and I still don't "get" For de Loto's songs so well. I guess I'll wait one or two days, I hope I don't end up missing this match.

I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive

This is actually pretty tough, it's like Brazil and Argentina matching in the eighth finals and one of them has to go in such an early stage. Unhappy

Haven't decided just yet.

A few years I would had voted Bacamarte without hesitation.

Today Flor de Loto has surpassed Bacamarte, and we can expect much more from them.

So Flor the Loto for me.

Yes, specially because they blend Flute, Quena, Zampońa and Peruvian Ocarina

Quena: Pentaphonic bamboo flute
File:Quena01.jpg

Zampońa: Peruvian ancient Pan Flute

The quena is extremely sweet and zampońa can be adapted to harder rock passages.

Ocarina-Peru

Peruvian Ocarina

Yeah, I thought I heard some different flutes there. Listening to 'Madre Tierra' I immediately thought of Pan Flute.

Flor De Loto are great but it's hard to beat a classic and kind of flawless release.

Went with Bacamarte.

Oh well, I guess I'll be going with Bacamarte. Tough one, though. I'm afraid to admit that perhaps, if I had heard more Flor de Loto, I might have gone with them.

Poll's over. We have a tie!!

Final score: Flor de Loto 8- Bacamarte 8

If you want Bacamarte to advance to the next round, answer the following question:

Even though Sete Cidades was released under the Bacamarte name, it features only one member of the Depois Do Fim line up. Which one?

If you want Flor de Loto to advance, answer this:

Flor de Loto's longest track is also the name of one of their albums. Name that track/album

Not completely accurate, it's done by Mario Neto but credited to Bacamarte, even in the art cover

Sete Cidades - album cover

In the superior left corner is the name of the band.

Mundos Bizzaros. Flor de Loto's longest track, from the album with the same name.

I know it's not a solo album and it's under Bacamarte, it featured Mario Neto like I said before.

Sorry, they were definitely one of the best bands in the tournament and deserved to go further. Great new discovery for me anyway, thanks!
