Interesting article in The Independent (UK) newspaper, especially for those who've gotten older with their rock idols:

Quite interesting.
Procol Harum's "Home" deals with death.
Donald Fagen's album "Morph The Cat" deals with mortality.

Another one I have listened to a number of times during the last few days is my favourite track from echolyn's new album (the best album 2012 has seen until now, as far as my limited knowledge goes): Some Memorial.

The Tangent's Not As Good As The Book deals with growing old in a fantastic way, Andy Tillison is an excellent composer, performer and lyricist as well

I don't think it's about ageing and death, nessisarily, but about losing somthing great you once had.

Grace discusses it a bit here, in her feisty style.....the annoying news intro is short.
