I don't know (Andy)man, there is a lot of Post-Rock and Heavy too, or at least a lot of what sounds to me like it.

This is one of those albums that has a bit of pretty well everything in it - quite amazing really considering that it is only a four-track, 24-minute EP! As Marty says, there are shades of Post Rock & Heavy Prog  - & even a bit of Metal chucked in on track three.  Goodness only knows which sub you'd file it in...It sure as hell belongs here somewhere though...& Svetonio - you are finding some absolute crackers on bandcamp just lately - keep it up, my friend!!

Indeed, Svetonio is long time suggester ... even some of his threads doesn't make it to PA database, many of them are here now.

Let's hear another reply. I remember Alex harmonium.ro posting his opinions, Andyman too often hinted what he thinks about certain albums ... where are they nowadays ?

Svetonio's 'stike rate' has improved markedly since the old days when he sent in so many suggestons that were seen as 'not prog at all' by the New Bands team back then. But he always included some real gems amongst them even so - the difference now is that almost all his suggestions are really good ones. He is a real asset to the site at the moment imo. Approve

Indeed they were (before I joined the team). Cry There was a comment in the team thread that apart from a section of the third track 'Feathers', this music isn't prog. The two 'no' votes came from the most experienced members of the team, with a third vote for 'move' (presumably to Post Rock). All I can add to this thread for now is that this was a very short EP anyway, which jumps about all over the place, and we must therefore consider the likelihood that the band may not have yet found their true musical direction. Plus there is no info whatsover about the band on their bandcamp page, or anywhere else for that matter - so adding a bio would have been a pain to say the least. I'm sure the guys took these factors into account when casting their 'no' votes...Maybe if a full album is forthcoming at some stage in the future, plus a bit of background info, we can look at them again. Smile
There is actually an Alabaster band on facebook, but it is the excellent female-fronted Alternative Rock (Paramore-like) band from Seattle/Chicago USA, who don't belong on here at all, but would be well worth a listen for any Hayley Williams fans out there! Tongue Listen to their debut 7-track EP 'Unraveled' here: http://alabaster.bandcamp.com/album/unraveled" rel="nofollow - http://alabaster.bandcamp.com/album/unraveled .  Embarrassed
