I picked "Fly From Here", not quite a masterpiece, but still pleasant and genuine Yes album. Followed by Glass Hammer (very strong but somewhat long) and Squackett (rather controversial album, but with some excellent moments). ------------- A Elbereth Gilthoniel silivren penna míriel o menel aglar elenath! Possibly. I just think that it's funny because people label GH as a Yes clone, so seeing them in a Yes-related poll was funny.

I don't know I would classify GH as a Yes clone; Yes are very diverse, dynamic and 3D and therefore impossible to clone, unless you clone a snapshot of one of their "personas". I can count at least 4 phases of Yes history that are unlike each other, or anything else. As for GH, they are more like a dedicated Tolkien tribute band :) |

Fly Frome Here for me, closely followed by Squackett. Survival and the Living Tree are dreadful dreck IMO. ------------- A GREAT YEAR FOR PROG!!! |

| Only heard Fly from Here and Living Tree from this. I liked better Fly from Here, and for me it has got some new songs that will make it to my regular listening from the band... not bad at all, even if they are not so proggy, and if the whole albums isn't a masterpiece... they haven't achieved that since CttE anyway (in my opinion), even if they have come up with many unmissable songs since then. The Living Tree was OK, but very subdued. There are a pair of songs that I can imagine having been really great if they had been played, arraged, and augmented by the whole of Yes. |

Couldn't agree more. Fly From Here may not be a trailblazer, but it's beautiful and extremely well-made album.

| My favourite recent Yes-related release is Jon Anderson's Open, actually. When I listened to it side-by-side with Fly From Here, I could tell that when Yes kicked Jon out, he retained custody of the symphonic gene. |

| I have not heard the GH album but don't care for the rest so voted none. I am looking forward to a new Yes album with the GH singer. Would have voted for Mystery if it had been in the poll. |
