Even nicer to see that his efforts with The Wall, are not hippocritical, and neither are they meaningless!
Yeah ... but then, I never once in the past 40 years, thought that Roger was a fake, and did not mean what he said ... he might have been young and sometimes this and that, but then, so were we! And I can tell you (it's on the review here on PA) that the audience that saw this show in Portland, was very clearly into it and appreciated it from beginning to the end!
Absolutely valuable moments ... to help gain/give someone the "kiss of life" and help them get inspired again ... not sure that anyone, can do more, or better!
But then, a lot of popular music is not really known for worthwhile valor, and too many people think that Hotel California is more important! ------------- Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! Not being told! www.pedrosena.com |

He's a driven individual and while I've not always agreed with him, I respect that. Even during his late Floyd years when people called him a ruthless dictator, I think he was doing what he needed to do to assure those albums were made and made well. Had he not taken charge it's quite possible Floyd would have languished. These days he is driven to put on these memorable shows and takes time to spend it with vets, bravo. ------------- |

Only just picked this one up. Thanks Jim, a nice story. I, for one, never doubted Waters' sincerity. He has said on a number of occasions that he was always torn between his socialist upbringing (Mum was a member of the British Communist Party), and the vast riches that membership of Pink Floyd brought.
