Out Of Myself by Riverside was the pick of the majority of my favourites from 2003. Once again 2 polls of 10 each with the top three or so moving on to a final poll. I found 2003 had better albums overall but this year is pretty deep as i had trouble limiting this to just 20.

Paatos; a very good album. I wasn't thrilled with Unfold the Future; too jazzy for my tastes.

A GREAT YEAR FOR PROG!!!

Without a doubt, `Paatos - Timeloss', one of my favourite modern progressive albums. Love the smoky jazzy sound and dark atmosphere....As much as I enjoy all their follow-up albums, not one has come even close to the emotion and beauty of this one.

Nice pick !   If you go to http://www.cduniverse.com" rel="nofollow - www.cduniverse.com  and put 5uu's in the search area you can hear samples but they are brief samples of about a minute of each song i believe. Not sure where else you could listen to them. They do have one song on this site as well you can listen to from Regarding Purgatories.

Godspeed...even if it's my least favorite of theirs (not couting their latest).

Dig me...But don't...Bury me
I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive
Warning: Listening to jazz excessively can cause a laxative effect.

I'll vote for the only one I've heard out of these - GY!BE - Yanqui U.X.O.

It's some great music, but I always felt the production was dire for that album, it's so flat, dreary and lifeless that it kills of any energy and passion in the music. Tankfully they sorted that out for the excellent ZePTo, it's just a shame they havent followed up on.

Well i am surprised that GY!BE is leading this thing right now. I'm a fan of all of these records but i just didn't anticipate the top three here so far. i really thought The Flower Kings and POS would be getting more attention even though i didn't vote for either.Big smile
