This is a last part of my "Non" polls, this time it's not just about Swedish Prog without their "national" subgenre, but without all subgenres around Metal.

Voted Kaipa for their 70's work, though their newer stuff is alright to. Others I enjoy are Atlas, Beardfish, and of course Anglagard.

I'm enjoying Brighteye Brison right now, this is very coherent, pleasant and sophisticated Symphonic Prog music - not as boring as The Flower Kings and not as cold and aloof as Anglagard. Especially the last two BB albums are real masterpieces!
It's a pity they're somewhat neglected on this site. Probably because they're just overshadowed by above mentioned?

It's between Algarnas Tradgard, Kebnekaise, Bjřrn J:Son Lindht, Arkimedes Badkar, SMM and My Brother the Wind. Today I am going with Algarnas Tradgard

Went with Anekdoten, although I love Magic Pie's first album (the one with the apple). Haven't really absorbed their later material yet.

Anglagard all the way! I'm appreciating them more and more as time goes on. The only modern Symph Prog I can really tolerate, really. I love me some of that Samla and Brother Wind too.

Missing in Action: - Dungen - Bo Hannson - Landberk
In any case, Anekdoten, with Anglagard close behind.

Landberk would be in my top three behind Anekdoten and Anglagard. The Swedish holy trinity.

As a swedish person who has progressive rock as a favorite genre, I must say my country's version of prog is surprisingly boring. I mean srsly, I couldn't find ONE band worth seeing on "Sweden Prog Fest". That's just sad, and strange. The only one here that I actually enjoy is "My Brother the Wind". Their first album was really good and their last was even better due to the extended variation in the soundscapes and use of more different instruments. Maybe not my favorite band at the moment or whatever, but they are great and I'll buy their next album or attend any show nearby without thinking twice.

Of course, Canada is much bigger, Russia is even biggest country - and they haven't too much successful bands inside or outside Prog.

Hm, really isolated case of anti-patriotism. Just My Brother the Wind seem to me boring and dull ... Do you know Brighteye Brison? I recommend!
